Whereas other portable liquid propane grills are petite and tabletop in design, the Roadtrip LXE is a full-size grill with collapsible scissor legs for countertops or travel. This 36-inch grill features 285 square inches of cooking space, ideal for toting to the beach or just into the driveway a small block party. Two 10,000 BTU burners cook meats evenly. Independent control knobs allow users to adjust temperatures on either burner for flexibility.
The grill comes equipped with two warp-resistant cast-iron grill grates, coated in porcelain for cleaning convenience. Two side tables attach to the grill's sides for extra preparation space and store neatly under the grill. A grease tray catches drippings, sliding out for cleaning. The grill is outfitted with an Instastart electronic ignition. The grill affixes to a standard 16.4-ounce disposable propane cylinder, or can be hooked up to a 20-pound tank with an additional accessory purchase. Burning on high with a propane cylinder, the grill operates for 2.1 hours, while low settings allow operation for up to 4.5 hours. A heavy-duty vitreous lid cased in painted steel contains flames to reduce hazard while barring access to bugs and debris. The collapsible legs feature two wheels on one end and a wide handle on the other for towing. To clean the cooking surface, use mild detergents and avoid steel wool. Coleman offers several interchangeable Roadtrip cooking surfaces, including a stovetop and griddle, for separate purchase. This grill requires assembly. I was looking for a small grill that would be easy for someone with handycaps to use. I had been considering the small pedestal type, but I'm so glad I didn't go that rout. I am alone and wanted something easy to use, as I don't really like to bbq that well, this product really helped me to get over my dislike for b-b-q'ing. It is easy to use, it cleans up easily with soap and water and is pretty to look at. I'm finally able to have grilled food that's healthier for me. I love my new grill! This new rendition of the Coleman Roadtrip Grill is all you can ask for in a grill and more. Not only does it output 10,000 BTU (more powerful than all of the grills in its class), but is open flame cooking grills a mean steak.
The LXE can come off its convenient stand and be used for a table top grill. The stand is a foldable handle and wheels for easy portability, and the best part is that the grill grates can interchange with a griddle (mix and match) or stove grate. All of the interchangeable plates are removable and dishwasher safe.
I highly recommend this grill.

I purchased the Coleman Road Trip Grill LXE for my husband as a gift. Since it was given during the holidays, it took a week or two before we actually used it. We have now used it to cook steaks and chicken with excellent results. I bought it to replace a very large propane grill we had but weren't happy with because it took too much propane to heat it up just to cook something for the two of us.
We love to camp and will be able to bring this with us to use along with our Coleman table-top camp stove. But for right now it is doing great as a replacement for that oversized grill.

Purchased this grill in early April and has been everything I expected. My roomie and I have grilled burgers (beef and turkey), steaks,chicken breasts and hot dogs on this grill and all of them turned out perfect. We grilled with the lid shut all five times on low heat (havent had to turn up any higher than low) and the lid handle did not get hot....so on low at least, you can grill with the lid down). Will be taking it with us on some camping trips this summer....will post after the trips. Also havent had trouble cleaning the grill, we use the new "Pam For Grilling " and it works great.Customer Review: Coleman got it right!

This is the right grill for camping. It has a spacious cooking area. There are plenty of accessories. The grill can be easily wheeled. It feels a bit cheap for sure on the slide out tables and solid plastic wheels but I know they had to balance weight/materials with price. We love it. We love the drainage system, we love the compactness, we love the heat it produces, we love hamburgers in 10 minutes, and we love it all. I especially like the accessories. Complaints are again some cheap feeling parts and that sometimes the folding/unfolding isn't as easy as it should be.
