Whether you need a backup heater for power outages or want to heat a garage, shop, tent, boat, or ice shanty, this cordless heater for indoor use is ready to go wherever you might need some warmth.
Constructed with 3,000 BTU output, the catalytic heater with platinum technology provides flameless heat from a pressure-regulated propane fuel system that produces a steady fuel stream, even in cold weather, at high altitudes, or when fuel is low. The starting mechanism is a fast-acting piezoelectric sparker that ignites the propane in the presence of atmospheric O2. Easy to operate, you simply screw a 16.4-ounce propane cylinder on the back, turn the knob to "on" for a few seconds, and hit the ignition switch. The portable heater moves the heat efficiently with a fan, powered by two D batteries (not included), for better circulation. The Coleman ProCat operates for up to eight hours on 16.4-ounce Coleman propane cylinder.

We love this heater. This has been used many times on our camping trips as well as in the garage. I'm in California and the weather doesn't usually get too cold but this winter it has been and the heater has come in handy. The only down side is the fact that you need to change the propane out in the middle of the night, but if you set your watch it's ok. I suggest when using it in a tent, get it going about 15 minutes prior to laying down to get the tent toasty. You may want to set this up a little higher off the ground so your feet are not wet from the condensation from the propane tank.Customer Review: Great Heater

Camped at five thousand feet and nights were cold. Wife complained the first night, so the second I fired up the ProCat heater for her. We were in a 12'x13' tent with outside temp around 40F. One tank of fuel lasted from 10:30 pm until around 5:00 am. Wife said that she slept way better because she felt warm all night. The built in fan works great. No fumes either. Purchased the heater to use at night car cruise-ins. The first time it was 25 degrees outside. We have registration tables with curtains around the bottom and the ladies put the heater under the table and sat with their legs under the table. Worked just great.....Highly reccomend!! Great little heater. Desesrt cold did not get to us with this heater on. ProCat gets warm quickly and stays warm until the fuel is gone. It is aabout a 6hour heater and it helps if your tent is good and warm on it's own but his heater does real well. My partner has a health condition and she can not tolerate cold, this heater kept her real warm and she loves it.Customer Review: Regard to Coleman Procat

I bought this item for camping purpose. Ofcourse for cold night, I did have an experience once (when I camped at Shenandoah Valley in September 2006). The temperature was dropped to 35 some degree. The Procat has chance to test, I did, at first, a little bit confuse when start, but it turned out good, my tent was warm as I expected. Good one if you can afford.
