I bought this lantern to use when the electricity goes off. It is very sturdy and works fine. But, it is not quite as bright as I had hoped. Overall, I am satified with the quality of the product and will probably buy a Coleman lantern that uses eight batteries. That might be better suited to my purposes. This lamp is durable and illuminates an adequate area. As one reviewer mentioned, the high and low settings aren't much different, so using the low setting saves battery power. Appears rugged enough to withstand the rigors of car camping. It's not particularly bright, but will illuminate your immediate area adequately. this is a very good lil lantern for the money. Gives off the amount of light I need when the power goes out. Liked it so much bought another one. Would recommend it. Compact and light weight.
