Firstly i must say how impressed i am at how well this burner is built,secondly i must say how dissapointed i am in discovering how bad it's flame control is while useing the fuel lever to adjust flame intensity,it seems to me that there is only one heat setting and that would be all or nothing,however having said that and understanding that this is an analog device and i quickly realised that there is more than one way to adjust the flame on a dual fuel cooker,the instructions advise you to pump enough preasure into the fuel tank in order to achieve the stated 10000 BTU burner output and so you are instructed to do this both before and during it's early burn duration and this method does acheive the hotest burn performance of the device,and also at this point i should state that acheiving enough heat through the heat generator is also made possable at full burner performance so i guess you would iether boil the kettle or do this procedure for about 2 min in order to just pre heat the generator for cooking ,so whats the difference between boiling the kettle and cooking ?,tank preasure is the answer,if your initial need was to cook on this burner then just do all the pumping and hot burning for about 2 min and then turn the device off,this would be enough to pre heat the generator for what i discovered next, once the device is completely off allow all your pumping preasure to escape through the tank refill hole and then re tighten the cap,give it just one pump of preasure now and close the pump,turn the fuel lever to light high and light the burner and you are ready to cook on a frying pan or similar at a much lower heat output than the rated 10000 BTU output,now because heat will eventualy be deflected down from the base of the frying pan over the tank there will be no further need to add any more preasure to the tank, Enjoy !.

Coleman's WindBlock system shields the burner from wind, for maximum heat and reliable operation in all weather conditions.
