Excellent Cold Steel Product. A little larger that I thought, it would have been nice for the add to mention the dimensions instead of just the weight. I have large hands and protrudes almost an inch from either side of my closed fist. The size make its more challenging to carry on my person than I thought it would be. Regardless, it's a potent piece of gear, and I highly recommended it!Customer Review: Awesome

"Whoa," I said as I took the Koga SD1 out of its packaging. This thing is 7 1/2" long, which is overkill as yawaras go and problematic for discreet carry in pocket. In my view, that is the downside. On the plus side, the Koga is constructed out of unyielding, nigh-indestructible plastic that weighs almost nothing. The grip design and overall shape is excellent, so retention should not be a factor at all. It's your call, but I would get a smaller one that performs the yawara function just as well. If discretion is less of an issue than this may well be your yawara of choice. Either way, props go to Cold Steel for their commitment to high quality and low price.Customer Review: Excellent but not very portable...

With this weapon one can perform strikes, traps, even aid in throws and holds. My only issue with it is that it is on the large side and cannot be carried in the pocket easily. It is always in my judo bag however, and its excellently designed. For portability I have made my own with hexagonal aluminum stock. If I were a security guard, this would be on my belt!
