Clif Bars are amoung the best tasting energy bars I have ever tried. They may not pack as many calories or grams of protein as other brands, but there have been times where I could not even finish a competeing bar because of dismal taste or texture.Customer Review: Taste ok, but they really do look like poop

I had a crunchy peanut butter bar this morning for breakfast. I decided to microwave it because as it was out of the package it was a bit tough. So I took it out of the package and was amazed at how fecal-like it looked. I really thought that, considering the time of year, I had just found Mr. Hanky the Christmas Poo. Anyway, I decided to eat it anyway, and it was pretty good, and a bit nutty. It tasted more of soy than peanut to me, but that's not entirely a bad thing. I'd consider taking these outdoors, but ONLY if I were carrying a lot of water... I was definitely parched after eating this.Customer Review: there are worse things you can eat...

...but there are much better things, too!
WORSE THINGS: candy bars, fast food, donuts, etc.
BETTER THINGS: fresh fruit (bananas, oranges, grapefruit, etc.), dried fruits (almonds, dried apricots, prunes, raisins, etc.), fresh yogurt, seeds (sunflower, pumpkin, etc.)
These bars don't taste bad and are convenient in emergencies but if you can find just an extra 5 minutes to put together a more natural snack on the go, you'll be much better off.

The three stars are for portability, decent taste, and decent nutritional value. The missing two stars are due to lack of peanut butter flavor. Alas, the Crunchy Peanut Butter Clif bar is neither crunchy, nor does it taste like peanut butter. As a matter of fact, all Clif bars pretty much taste like a version of each other: oats and fig paste.Customer Review: READ THIS before you shop rating: 1 Stars

BAD NEWS.........I am stuck with a box of 12 and can't find a
way to get rid of them. I got the peanut butter
crunch because of the rave reviews....I really
have to wonder who is writing these reviews.
WORTHY OF NOTE...These bars are niether crunchy nor do they have
any flavor at all!!! The taste is a cross
between stale unsweetened oatmeal and wet flour.
for 40 grams of carb per bar...not worth it!
