It kind of makes sense that throwing heavier-than-usual baseballs will increase arm strength, which is the purpose of balls like this.
This product consists of 9 differently weighted & colored baseballs. They start at 4 oz (1 oz lighter than a typical ball) & then increase by 1oz/ball all the way up to the heaviest ball, which is 12 oz.
These do seem to reflect how a normal baseball should feel; for example, they have typical seams.
I have noticed they get scuffed up pretty easily even with limited use; perhaps that's just an artifact of their bright, shiny surface. I can't attest to their durability, but since they're made only for tossing around, this may be a non-issue.
At >$50, I can't exactly call these a bargain, & they're not a must have (since you can practice long-toss with a regular baseball). For those very serious about arm strength, they may be worth considering.
