Description of Cervical Posture Pump Spine Trainer

The Cervical Traction POSTURE PUMP® 1000 is a huge breakthrough for those people who suffer from being in positions that are not comfortable. These uncomfortable postions cause muscle stiffness, tension and neck fatigue. These body positions force the spine out of its natural shape, causing abnormal joint movement and loss of joint lubrication. Particularly in the Cervical spine, which should have a "c" curve in it. When joints are dry, they wear unevenly, age faster and create stiffness and discomfort. Spendin just minutes on the Cervical Traction POSTURE PUMP® 1000 allows you to shape and lubricate the neck and back. A great defense against aging. Consult with your practitioner before use. For health and hygenic reasons This item is not returnable.

Customer Review: Totally relieved my neck stiffness and pain
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

I found out about this contraption at a chiropractor's office, and it was one of the few things there that actually seemed to really work. So, I got one for my own personal use, and it's great. It looks totally goofy, but at least for me, when I get neck pain and stiffness, which happens to me only about twice a year, using this even once or twice totally relieves it.

Customer Review: Cervical Traction Device
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

Helped clear up a sore neck that had gone on for weeks. Will travel with it so I can keep my neck feeling good. Nothing electric just a hand pump. Easy, quick and effective.

Customer Review: Very Helpful but here's a comparison
Sport shop rating: 4 Stars

From my wife Sarah: I'm reviewing three devices including the Posture Pump, all of which I have. I was looking into going for traction for neck pain and slipped discs in my neck. A recent MRI showed 5 discs out in my neck, with two touching the spinal cord. I found a chiropracter offering the newer traction type table who told me I'd need to come 4 times a week for a while. He showed me the traction machine. In the course of doing some web research I found the Comfortrac unit NEW Model ComforTrac Home Cervical Traction Device. It pretty much looked just like what the chiropracter had, it appeared to do the same thing, and my osteopath approved it for my condition, so I bought it.

I found that it really provided me with some relief, however with my condition this was always temporary. Depending on my condition there are times it didn't work at all, but this machine gave me more relief than anything else I had tried except for chiro or osteo adjustments. I could feel it stretching the muscles, and I even would get some cracking in my neck, followed by some relief. I would definitely recommend this unit.

I also own the Posture Pump-Cervical Traction Device. This gives you traction in a different way - by creating a curve in your neck to open up the disks. If I had to choose between the two machines, I'd pick the Comfortrac device because it really seemed to have more impact. The lengthening strectch gave me more relief than the arching stretch. However I felt for me that they worked even better together since each does something different for me. I would start out on the Comfortrac and then spend some time on the Posture pump. Using both of these worked better than using either one by itself.

I am dealing with TMJ, and both of these devices work fine without irritating my jaw. They can be used in a modified way to avoid placing pressure on the jaw. Both are very easy to use.

I also own the REAL-EaSE Neck Support unit, which does virtually nothing for me.

After struggling with severe neck pain, headaches and TMJ for decades, I recently heard about a technique called Atlas Orthogonal practiced by only about 250 doctors in the country. A friend of mine got completely pain free after 28 years of severe pain from an accident. I found someone in my area who practices Advanced Atlas Orthogonal, and had it done. It has provided me with more relief than anything I've tried in over 25 years, including many chiropracters, osteopathic adjustments, accupuncture, cranial sacral therapy, physical therapy and the list goes on. It stopped the headaches as long as my neck is in place - I need the atlas periodically adjusted again and still have other spine and neck issues. However it reduced the pain throughout my neck, jaw and body SUBSTANTIALLY. I STRONGLY suggest anyone with neck or jaw pain look into this. It's a blooming miracle.

Customer Review: Helpful for many, but not all
Sport shop rating: 4 Stars

I have dealt with scoliosis and cervical spine straightening due to being injured by a drunk driver for many years. While not a cure-all, this unit has helped alleviate pain and reduce some of the loss in sensation in my fingers. I agree with other reviewers that it is not for everyone. Those with significant disc herniation or narrowing of their cervical spinal canal may actually have their condition worsened by using this. Anyone considering buying this should speak to a knowledgeable chiropractor or orthopedic surgeon first. It is also important to use the unit correctly as improper use can also worsen one's symptoms.

Customer Review: Seems to have stablized my neck
Sport shop rating: 4 Stars

I have had neck problems for 30 tears and decided enough was enough and tried the pump out . It seems to have worked at stablizing my neck to the point that it just simply feels better.
