i bought this as a gift for a friend who is having more and more trouble reading small print, especially restaurant menus. this product is great because it's small, fits in a wallet (it's the equivalents of about 3 credit cards in diameter) and is pretty discrete... as long as you don't use the LED light. seriously, it's so bright you could probably guide ships through a harbor with it. considering that i bought the magnifier so that my friend could avoid holding menus at arms length while using the candle from the table to read the entrees, a spotlight wasn't quite what i was looking for. other than that, though, it's pretty great.Customer Review: Cheap. Not worth spending even a penny on this item

no matter which angel you use it's hard to focus. it's better to spend more and buy something which can be used. It's a joke in the name of magnifier. Please do not waste even a single penny on this one, this is just a piece of trash.
