Customer Review: Do Not Underestimate
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

I just bought the Trainer level gripper and believe what people say, this grip is HARD to close. I consider myself a reasonably strong person (160lbs. and can bench 250lbs.) and have lifted weights regularly for over 10 years but have never had a particularly strong grip. I had arm and elbow surgery about a year ago and wanted a gripper to build my strength back up. Reading the recommendations I had trouble deciding between the Trainer and #1 but went on the lighter side to be safe. Glad I did because, honestly, I can barely close this thing. I have to warm up with a regular store gripper before moving onto several low rep sets with the Captains of Crush gripper. I doubt that I could currently close the #1 even one time. Shipping was very fast (3 days) and the gripper looks to be very high quality. Strongly recommended, but don't overestimate your strength.

Customer Review: The Ferrari of Hand Grips!!!
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

If you are really serious about hand grips, and you want something that is not your standard sport shop model, this is where to go. I got the Trainer, and for someone like myself that has been using hand grips since childhood, it was too easy. Then I got #1 and that was tuff; but I decided to get #2 and #3 as well. I have just recently graduated from #1 and using #2, and maybe in a year or more I can go to #3 and get certified.
Let me tell you this, if you can squeeze #2 at least once all the way, you are good. You can't really understand what I am trying to tell unless you get one. So if you are person that has never used hand grips regularly if at all, then go with the Trainer. If you have been using hand grips for awhile, and looking for something harder, then get the #1.
Remember to always squeeze hard!!!

Customer Review: The beginners starting point for grip strength.
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

These are a decent starting point for most guys. I got the sports version for warming up. I found these to be a decent challenge and can close all the way. Definitely not the cheap grippers you find in most stores.

Quality. Good. I don't expect these things to break anytime soon, they appear very solid.

TIP: The grip WILL callous your hand hands if you have smooth hands. If for whatever reason that is your own you don't want callous here is what I did.

Someone suggested using bandage tape, but I found overhand grip wrapping to be great (used on the handle of a tennis racket). These will stop your hands from getting any callous but you still have to do all the work. "Microzorb or Tourna Grip Tennis Overgrip" I use Tourna but either should be fine.

Customer Review: Wasn't able to squeeze once! These grippers are no joke!
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

When I first got my trainer, I wasn't even able to squeeze it once, not because I was weak, but because these things are advanced, yes, even the trainers! I've currently had it for about a month and a half and I am doing #1 8 times in a row. I hope to be able to rep number 2 by christmas. You will definitely see results from these grippers! I would suggest getting the IM Bands as well, they help work your extensors, which is important for when you do grippers, they help prevent injuries when releasing the grippers.

If you want strong forearms, fingers, hands, wrists, I would definitely recommend captains of crush grippers, as well as the iron mind bands, thick dumbell work, pinching work, and towel pull ups.

Customer Review: Excellent Trainer
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

I was searching for a durable quality gripper that took some power to close. I figured that I would have no problem closing the Trainer and figured I would buy the Trainer and the Level One gripper. Glad I bought the Trainer. The Level 1 is pretty tough to close and I like to do it a few times then go work on the Trainer.

As for quality like Mr. Baotic said, these are high quality. Now that I have two I want the whole set. I've heard people complain that the grips are a little rough but they don't injure you at all they are just rougher so they don't slip when you sweat. If you want a quality, durable, gripper buy from the Captain's of Crush line. I know I will never go back.
