I own the #1, #1.5 and could do about 15 reps with the 1.5 in my dominant hand. Feeling adventurous I decided to skip a level and buy the #2.5. I felt like I wasn't gaining any strength from the #1.5 anymore, which is true - there is no point to do more than 10 reps of any exercise unless you are looking to burn calories.
The first time I opened the package and squeezed the #2.5 I laughed, because it simply mocked me. I am now about 2-3 mm from closing it now, almost there, but seriously, I don't recommend buying every COC gripper in 1/2 steps, that is costly, I would however recommend buying one a full step above the one you can close. Also, I recommend buying some cheap store grippers and removing the foam grips and sliding them onto the COC grips - it is much friendlier on the hands!!!
