Customer Review: Why did I wait so long?

I spend some time out in the great outdoors and for years I have made due with make-shift containers (or legitimate water bottles) packed in a fanny pack or backpack. I have always viewed these types of hydration devices as just trendy gadgets. Imagine my surprise when I finally broke down and purchased this one for an upcomming hike. For those of you that know what a compliment these packs are to your adventure I need not go on, but for those who were like me, you have experience it. The water weight is so nicely distributed about your back. I didn't even notice. This is completely different from the water bottles jostling about in my pack from hikes in the past. I'm the type of person who does not want a lot of weight of my back unless I'm going on an extensive expedition so I picked this pack because it was one of the smaller ones. Knowing what I know now, I could probably have gone with a bit more water capacity (I was totally taken aback by the lightness and efficiency of the weight distribution of this pack loaded) but I will never give this one up. It is perfect for a day hike and an excellent addition to an expedition if a day hike should happen off of base camp. This will also be perfect for bike rides (both motorcycle and bicycle) and my outdoor photography where sitting and waiting is sometimes very time consuming. Well built and I love the no-plastic taste that this type of reservoir delivers. Having the wide mouth also allowed me to fill the bag with plenty of ice that kept the water nice and cold and gave a pleasent cooling effect for me as I hiked.

The versatile pack for 2+ hours on the bike with essential cargo.Delivering three bottles worth of hydration, the Rogue hydration pack is a great choice for cyclists, mountain bikers, and hikers. The pack is built around a 2.1-liter Omega reservoir with an easily accessible drinking tube, so you can grab a quick sip whenever you're parched or need a water boost. The reservoir is also externally accessible, making it easy to refill at a water fountain, from a hose, or virtually anywhere else. And thanks to the secure storage pocket, the pack offers plenty of room for your bike pump, extra tire tube, repair tools, and energy bars.
Other details include a channeled back panel design that's cool and breathable on hot days, a Slider SternumStrap that distributes the weight evenly across your hips, and reflective striping that helps increase your visibility in low-light conditions. So whether you're taking a leisurely ride across town or hitting the trails for a day's worth of hard riding, the Rogue steps up to the plate. As with all Camelbak hydration packs, the Rogue is backed by a two-year warranty (with a lifetime warranty on the Omega reservoir).
