Sports reviews of CamelBak BPA-Free Better Bottle with Classic CapCustomer Review: They've Captured Lightening in a Bottle! Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
If you're thinking of buying a portable water bottle, don't hesitate one minute about buying this one: It's simply the best I've seen outside of a heavy double-walled thermos type (and even though it's not insulated, it keeps liquids cold for a surprisingly long time.
One sucks up water through a rubber device that opens slightly when bitten, and which otherwise remains tightly sealed. (While not truly hands-free like other CamelBak hydration bottles, you could place it on a desk or other flat surface and sip while reading. (However, it's not really designed for that, and I'm not sure your dentist would approve.)
The "sipper" is reliable and holds up well; I've had mine well over 6 months and it's none the worse for wear. And I've put this bottle through its paces, dropping it on hard surfaces and not washing it for days (ok, weeks...). I've used it only for water; still, there's never been a foul odor or any difficulty rinsing it. I've used it on long walks and ocean kayak (it even floats), and it's one of my most important pieces of "equipment." It also has hash marks on one side at eight ounce and 250 ml. intervals. Of course, it's BPA free, the new standard for portaging water. Just anecdotally, I believe I drink more water using the CamelBak than I would just drinking from glasses--it has the touch of adventure about it, and it's a slow, relaxing way to get your daily 64 ounces (those on a diet will love this too).
You don't need to leave the house to enjoy the CamelBak's dependable mechanics and large capacity. However, should you ever go on any kind of demanding expedition--like walking to the mailbox, for example--the CamelBak will not fail you.
