At that time, he could hardly imagine that he would make Butterfly the leading brand worldwide. Creativity, durability, and a profound technical knowledge meant success. 0ver and over again he looked for new possibilities in order to optimize techniques by innovative playing material. Tamasu realized that each player is different and has strengths and weaknesses. By offering individual playing material Tamasu wanted to help players right from the beginning to emphasize their individuality. Butterfly's rubbers and blades are used by more than half of the participants at World and European Championships.
Sports reviews of Butterfly TR21 Personal Rollaway Table Tennis Table (Green)Customer Review: Great For Grandchildren Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
The BUTTERFLY TR21 Table Tennis Table is a great gift for grandchildren - if only to get them away from TV and electronic games. Product quality is excellent and delivery was prompt - with no damage to this 180-pound product. BTW, the table comes with a net; but, no balls or paddles.
As others reported, the table requires two people who can lift about 60-pounds each to assemble. I recruited my son-in-law. Assembly takes about 3-hours because there are about 60 fastners - ranging from 32 small screws to larger components.
Instructions are clear and readily understandable. They state that the table can be assembled with a Phillips-head screwdriver and an adjustable wrench. While that is true, I strongly recommend the following tools: a box cutter for opening packaging, a power drill with a good clutch and fine speed control, 9, 10 & 11 mm sockets for the drill, a 3/8" drive socket set with 9, 10 & 11 mm sockets and a No. 1 Phillips head screw bit for the drill.
Once assembled, we enjoyed playing on the table, which has a solid 3/4-inch, well-painted surface. The table also has twin paddle & ball holders. An adult can readily fold/unfold the table and roll it away. Our family is very pleased.
Customer Review: SEE! It's Called Table Tennis NOT Ping Pong! Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
Oh My Concern at the 2 Guys that delivered this thing to my door. When they opened the back of the Van I saw a dent in the side of the packing...
Have No Fear, this thing is well packed and protected. It's Heavy though! Real Heavy, so make sure the Wife is around to help you shift it!
I agree with other reviewers. This thing takes a couple of hours to put together. Do it slowly and methodically as many of the nuts and bolts look VERY similar. I suggest sorting them and laying them out. There is a useful little measure on the instruction sheet which helps with the bolt sizes.
Anyway, once it's put together, it's a solid beauty. I've had it for a couple of months now and haven't had a decent game. Not because of the table but for the fact that, in my house is everyone's Crap at playing Table Tennis.
So if you're in the area with your
PS I would post a photo but heh, a Table Tennis Table is what it is. You know what it looks like.
OH! I almost forgot PS(2)....It comes WITH a net, which I didn't realise, and had ordered a net to go with it. The Net that comes with it is as sturdy as the table.....AND NO I'm not taking a picture of the Net either.
Customer Review: Ping Pong lover from china Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
This table has pretty good bounce. I have been playing ping-pong for many years. This table is one of the best.
The assembly time is not that bad. Maybe 3 hours if you're fast. You only need a second hand when it's nearly done (almost the last step). But put the parts to where you want it to be first.
Got it shipped in a week, pretty fast. My 7-year-old likes it. We played a lot in the basement already.
The bad thing is:
1) the net is 3 to 4 inches short. But I used a paper clip and a string to tie it up to the other end (the poles will accommodate you for strings).
2) one screw is missing, not very important, i just picked one from my toolbox.
All in all, very happy. Good price, good quality.
Customer Review: Great Table Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
The other reviews are all pretty accurate. It is a great table, good true bounce. And I particularly like how easy it is to fold up and take down. Couldn't be easier. As other reviewers have noted, it took almost exactly three hours to assemble, but it really wasn't difficult. Just go slowly and follow the directions carefully, and get a helper when it comes to lifting each half of the actual table top. I'm keeping mine outside, under a carport, with the Butterfly Cover on it (also highly recommended at $67 from Amazon). I used to play a lot as a kid, and I'm happy to be playing again. Table suits us perfectly. And though it's a little pricey, the free shipping made it comparable to the bargain tables, and it's well worth the few extra dollars.
Customer Review: Great ping pong table! Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
This is a great table for the $$$!! Had heard many reviews of how hard these things are to put together, and it is true that it takes a while, but if you CAREFULLY follow the directions, all comes together perfectly. I pretty much put the thing together by myself - just had to get my husband to help with the heavy stuff. All of the parts were well marked and fit together the way they should. The table seems real sturdy. Three hours after delivery, we were playing ping pong on our new table!
