Sports reviews of Bushnell Velocity Speed Gun (Colors may vary)Customer Review: Bushnell Velocity Speed Gun,Gray Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
Recently i purchased a Bushnell Velocity Speed Gun to test out it's accuracy. I have been in law enforcement since 1985 & i am certified in the use of radar.I read several reviews from customers on how they were dissatisfied beacause their radar gun did not work properly for one reason or another. My partners patrol car has a MPH radar & i decided to see just how accurate a Bushnell hand radar compared with it.I have 2 different speed tuning forks to test my MPH with & tested both of them on the Bushnell as well. The Bushnell tested accurate & gave the correct reading on both tuning forks i tested with.i then took it on the road & compared it against my partners MPH radar system against oncoming traffic & it worked as well matching vehicle speed with my MPH as well.
Although i used it on traffic,it should work on any moving object such as baseball, softball, tennis balls etc.Just remember that these objects are of course much smaller than a vehicle & you must be in direct line of sight to the object to get a true & accurate reading of speed.I would reccomend this particular unit to anyone interested in purchasing one.

Customer Review: Our Speed gun Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
The microwave speed gun , liked by the owners and users, and often disliked by speeders, has become another appliance. At short range, it reads runners and walkers and projectiles quite well. Looking thru front or rear vehicle windows gives very accurate own speed, and can see oncoming relative speed as well. The usual caution must be observed. ONLY ONE moving subject,or lots of confusion in the circuitry.
Aside; When these devices look at each other, they are both blind. The instructions confirm this.
"
Semantics; Although the word "radar" is used to describe this "Doppler speed gun", A real RADAR* tells distance as well as velocity.
Decorations:
I would have liked a little "tuning fork" to check the speed accuracy.
* RADAR= RAdio Distance And Ranging.

Customer Review: works on sports cars Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
The unit was used at Road Atlanta race track and performed as advertised. The unit can give erroneous readings when multiple cars are bunched together and moving at different speeds, however, this isn't fault of the unit. The only other downside is that to obtain accurate speeds the car needs to be moving nearly directly towards you or away from you not when the car crossing directly in front of you. Again not the fault of the unit just the nature of how Doppler radar works. The unit works best when you have a clear view to a car approaching or going away such as down a long straight away.
Customer Review: what a blast ive had Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
right out of the box,, drop in battaries, and off you go.no issues or noproblems.
we have had problems with speeders on our business rd for a while,so just to see how bad it was,i decided to test it out. lot of 60's and even up to a 73 mph in a 40mph speedzone..but those that had there radar detectors on were slowing down big time and breakin there knecks lookin round for a cop,, it was hillarious,,and then we decided to clock some of my rc cars,, it was a blast playing with this thing.
no problems useing or reading it,, functioned great.
Customer Review: Perfect for the Job Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
I ordered this radar gun for a few different reasons. 1) For the price it's a great deal. 2) I had used a friend's a few years back so I was already familiar with Bushnell products and knew first hand what it could do...it works as advertised. Unit is very consistent and accurate. And finally, 3) My son plays travel baseball and little league baseball so using it for checking out opposing team's pitcher's is a plus. It's just an all around good investment. The only downside is the cheap carry bag, so my wife made me a heavier denim bag.
