How a Laser Rangefinder Works Bushnell's Yardage Pro rangefinders use an invisible, eye-safe Class 1 Laser beam (as classified by the FDA) which is "bounced" off distant objects with the press of a button. Then, the rangefinder's high-speed digital clock measures the time it took for a laser beam to reach a target and return to the unit. Next, using advanced digital electronics, the rangefinder instantly calculates the distance within ±1 yard and shows the range in either yards or meters on a through-the-lens LCD Display. The entire process is so fast that less than a second elapses between the time you press the button to generate a laser beam to the time the exact range to your target is displayed.
Sports reviews of Bushnell Tour V2 Standard Edition Golf Laser RangefinderCustomer Review: Bushnell Tour V2 Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
The product is very good. I tried to measure many matters, flag, hazzard, flowers, waters and all were sharp. When I used it, I get a new feel, because earlier I missed the distance between 15 - 30 yards. In addition, it is not big problem, if in the official competition I can't use the product, because I play not so much courses, and for me is enough some distances to know punctually. I can use the product on the practice day, and after I am sure, I shall play better without hesitation on the competition. This was a best gift for me.
Customer Review: Excellent product Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
Have had the TourV2 Pinseeker a few weeks now and am absolutely happy with it. Easy to use, lightweight and just tucks into one of my golf bag pockets...in less than 30 seconds I can get a distance "read" and make a club decision. Much faster than trying to figure out the distance or stepping off distances from markers on the course. When I select a club, it's nice to actually know the distance to the flag....and I find it useful to check distance to hazards, creeks, etc. Already seeing improvements in my scoring.
Customer Review: Perfect for the job Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
I've tried almost all of the rangefinder and GPS products out there and this one was the most user friendly of the bunch on a round-by-round basis. Lightweight, accurate and easy to use (without slowing up play) - what more can a golfer ask for?
The Skycaddie is pretty cool, and can give you a lot more data, but at the cost of being at times confusing and a drag on play time. The V2 is just a more practical tool for the job....
Customer Review: Simple and accurate Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
Out of the box, this range-finder does what it is supposed to do simply and without a learning curve.
It feels sturdy and comes with a very nice carrying case that fits on a belt or on a golf-bag hook, so don't waste your money buying the separate case (as others have noted).
The visual contrast of the dark-gray cross hairs and range text on the image is low enough that it may be difficult to see on cloudy days.
Customer Review: Bushnell Tour V2 rangefinder Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
I bought this gadget because I didn't want to pay the yearly fee that the GPS type rangefinders require, plus not all courses are on the GPS ers. The Bushnell is top notch. I am not too steady with aiming it at the pins, but it always finds the range very quickly, and is quite accurate. No longer do I have to estimate the range when away from the markers on the fairways.
Great instrument. I highly recommend it.
