These binoculars have good optical quality for a low price. The focus is a little tough to do because of the higher power. The focus lever is a little tight and it's easy to go past the focal point because you have to press so hard on the focus lever. The higher power makes it difficult holding these binoculars steady but that's not a fault of the binoculars but just the fact that this is probably the highest optical power you can use and still be hand held. Field of view is also pretty narrow but once again this is because of the higher power. On the plus side these binoculars have a big bright image. The optics is quite sharp and the price is very reasonable. I like them and use them for bird watching but I do realize the compromises I have to make to get high power at a low price.Customer Review: Great Buy On Excellent Binoculars!

I believe this to be one of the best buys in binos. The optics are great:1) Porro prisms provide for a more realistic viewing depth of field.
2) 50mm objective lens (superb light gathering capability).
3) Good focus adjustment.
4) Great 16x magnification (product of the light gathering ability)
The unit is very well constructed and has a rubber outer skin. It also comes with a decent carry case and accessories. Make sure you want 16x magnification, as it will require steady hands.
Lower magnification (10x, 12x) with a 50mm objective lens will provide a wider field of view. You may wish to take this into consideration depending on your type (preference) of viewing.
BTW- I also own a $2000.00 pair of 18 x 50 binos.

The actual dimnetions of this product are 7" long and 7" wide ( at the end of the product- the part that we hold to our eyes is not quite as wide and fit to the eyes.
These are VERY strong binoculars, they are 16x the magnification, the 50 ( the other #) is simply the size of the front lens.. its 50 mm in diameter ( wide)... they are very strong and you can see things very far away. If you need a pair for a concert or a football game or something, then I believe these would be way to powerful and large. ( also I read somewhere, and I think its true that anything over 10x the magnification ( these are 16x) that you should use a tripod, since its too hard to see properly, since it needs to be compltely still.

Theses binoculars are quite impressive. When I bought them I was expecting something heavier for the size, but these are a lot lighter than the one I owned before. The magnification - WOW - I have been using binoculars for about six years, and the magnification on this one is one of the best I've seen so far. Even with the outstanding 16x magnification its possible to get a good 160 yards of foucust field of veiw. I never had a problem with the lenses fogging up on my hunting trips, for all of you who know how bugative that can be. I give these binoculars five stars because even whith the impressive view, ther is a very affordable price tag.Customer Review: Not complete

These binoculars are just about the top of the range for this price range. For a perfect vision and a professional look (no pun intended), don't look any further.Slight dissapointment though when I received mine. The product was advertised as including a carrying case and a neck strap. The carrying case we received and is actually quite nice, but the neck strap was missing.
