We bought this for our 9 and 7 year old sons, and it broke repeatedly in different places within the first hour of play. The cording and elastic are just not durable materials. Fortunately, the part that holds the ball seems to be OK, so we just keep knotting the broken cord back together. We considered another similar product, but it wasn't well-reviewed either; know what you are getting.
