About Treadmills
Walking is still considered one of the most beneficial cardiovascular exercises for people of all ages, body types, and fitness levels. As a fundamental form of aerobic training, walking has numerous physical benefits for the heart, lungs, and circulatory system, while also increasing muscle tone and burning fat calories. Treadmills provide a convenient way to regularly exercise in all weather conditions in the comfort and safety of your own home.

From beginners just starting an exercise regimen to advanced athletes looking to maintain their fitness level, anyone interested in getting and staying in shape can benefit greatly from regular use of a treadmill. Treadmills allow you to determine the pace, distance, and complexity of the workout based on your needs, all while watching television, talking on the telephone, or reading a magazine. Much easier on sensitive joints like the knees and hips, treadmill walking and running surfaces are typically long, padded platforms that allow ample room for a long stride and comfortable, low-impact walk or jog without the harsh contact of a concrete surface.

While many different types, styles, and price ranges of treadmills exist, many of them offer unique features like a fold-up design for easy storage, an electronic display monitor showing speed, distance, workout time, incline level, and burned calories, and EKG grip pulses to monitor the heart rate while exercising. Regardless of the simple to complex features you may choose, treadmills offer an array of aerobic exercise opportunities that will provide long-lasting beneficial cardiovascular results without a commute to the gym or a jog in the rain.

Sports reviews of Bowflex Series 3 Treadmill

Customer Review: Bowllex Treadmill
Sport shop rating: 4 Stars

I received my treadmill a few weeks ago and found it to be as good as advertised. My wife and I were able to carry it into the house and it was easy to assemble. I did have one problem with it. When we first started using it, the treadmill would routinely suddenly stop and the display read "Err 5". None of the controls would work until you shut the power off using the switch at the base of the motor. I called Bowflex and after being transferred 3 times I finally got to a technician and the solution was simple. The speed sensor just needed a slight adjustment. That involved removing the motor cover and moving the sensor probe. The fix took less time than getting to the right person. The treadmill has worked fine since, it is quiet and stable. I do have one complaint concerning the owners manual, to say it is skimpy on details and instructions would be an understatement. For instance, you are told to oil the belt after so many hours of use but there are no instructions on how to oil it. Just oil it. Also, no real explanation of the pre-installed workout programs or details about the digital displays. However, the bottom line is that this is a good treadmill and worth the price.

Customer Review: So far so good...... it has a power switch?
Sport shop rating: 4 Stars

Well, so far this machine has been wokring for me. I'm about 220 lbs and have been running on it and it's still in one piece. I wish I would have gotten a model a little higher up but for the price this works great and is easy to fold up. I put it togeather myself but wish I had help getting the main part out of the box because it was a tad heavy. The assembly is pretty simple but I'm not sure about the directions. On the front of the treadmill there is a reset button and a power button. I thought the darn thing was broke because when I plugged it in it wasn't turning on. After some reasearch I read about a power switch located towards the bottom. Needless to say, I felt pretty stupid. All around, its a great machine for the price.

Customer Review: a nice buy!
Sport shop rating: 4 Stars

1. Eagle only sent one guy for the delivery. He couldn't move the huge box inside the house by himself. I had to help him a bit. (I'm 30 yr female).

2. The assembling instruction is not hard to follow. But I would suggest 2 people do this. It took me a little bit over 1 hour to install.

3. It looks very sturdy and heavy. The folding mechanism is easy, but I've yet to figure out how to move it by myself: it's just too heavy for me to tilt.

4. I ran on it for 15 minutes as a test. A good buy with less than 1K price.

Customer Review: A Worthy Purchase
Sport shop rating: 4 Stars

Overall, a very sturdy and solid machine. Easy to assemble and fold back when not in use. Only thing is that is does not fold straight up but the deck stays at about 60 degrees from floor. The console is nice and professional looking. The only small issue is the response time of the buttons when you press them, for example, it takes about a 1-2 seconds to start running when u press 'Start'.

Customer Review: Good quality tredmill
Sport shop rating: 4 Stars

This is a good quality tredmill. I have been using is for about a month and have had not had any problems. It is quiet for a tredmill. I do wish it had a fan.
