Not only can you select any weight you want with the turn of a dial, but the dumbell grips are the most comfortable I've ever held. My hands never hurt, and I never lose grip. And for all the weight settings that you get, the space they take up are extremely minimal. When I rec'd my dumbells, I could clearly see how durable they are, and how engenius the design really is. Great product and a good spacesaver; its convenient and reliable. The only issue is that when removing weights from the dumbbell base without the dumbbell attached to be sure to align them interally in the correct order and facing the appropriate direction. There isn't any instructions for that scenario, and it can get the equipment jammed if the weights are inserted out of order or backwards.Customer Review: Now that's a low price!

I live in Hawaii and was in the market for free weights and was shocked at the prices. Bought these from Amazon and the weights were cheaper(shipping included) than from any other store here on Oahu. It was funny when the UPS driver delivered these, he was currious why the box was so heavy. He could not believe the deal I got. I bought these so I would have something to use for resistance training that I could keep int he spare bedroom, next to my elliptical, and most importantly facing the TV :-)
S far these have been great! you can do a huge amount of different exercises with dumbells, and these work very well, take up little room, and make working out more fun. Highly recommended!

These weights are awesome, but the packing is atrocious--there is a lifetime's worth of styrofoam in it. You can't recycle that, I'll have to parse it out in my garbage for several weeks.
Other than that (can't they fix that somehow? I know there's a lot of recycled carboard packing materials out there!), these things are awesome--space saving and easy. great!
