I bought the model from two years ago and all I have to say is that its a great product. Worth EVERY PENNY.
It may seem like a lot of money but when you start to use the product and recognize how simple it is to change weights and that you dont have to go and find another set of barbells anymore, that they are right in front of you....its very comforting. A time saver at the very least. My only downside is that I have dogs and cats and that they both shed, so when I leave these on the floor/carpet, hair gets on them quite a bit, but thats my problem, not Bowflexes...lol
it comes with a helpful dvd as well...just buy it. You will not regret it. I dont know how anyone could give this any less than five stars.

Got the SelectTech 552 dumbbells after one round of P90X. On starting the 2nd round I wanted greater flexibility in "dialing" in my weight selections. These are absolutely perfect for the diversity and speed of P90X. If I choose a weight that's too high or low it just takes a few seconds to change. Strip set curls are much more intense and worthwhile now. All that in a space that's a fraction of a full dumbbell set.
I highly recommend the stand. While it costs a little more there's definitely an advantage to having the weights off the ground and secured to the stand. There's probably other ways to accomplish this but for the money it's worth to just get the bowflex stand.

I had been trying to decide for 2 months whether to buy these, before finally deciding to do so. I had purchased the Chalean Extreme program and she uses them.
I love that the weights adjust in 2.5 pound increments. These are perfect for women. For example, 20 pounds was too heavy but 15 was too light, so the 17.5 pounds works until I can increase the weight.
My only suggestion to Bowflex would be to make a weight that goes to 35 pounds instead of 52.5 and target them towards women. I seriously doubt that I will EVER use more than that, so I paid for a lot of weight that I will probably never use.
Overall, a great weight! Would buy again!

I recently started the P90X program which allows you to workout in the comfort of your own home. Due to the durability and accessibility of being able to store them in a closet was a must for me. Instead of being forced to buy individual weights that take up quite a bit of room, you have all your weights in two dumbbells. You're getting what you pay for in the craftsmanship of these weights. They are very sturdy and do not feel cheap at all. The only con that I found with these weights were that they are a bit on the large side. This does limit your range of motion ever so slightly while doing certain exercises. Overall, great product and highly recommended!Customer Review: Fantastic - P90x Approved! :)

These dumbbells are great! As much as I have to switch weights during my P90x routines, these are certainly a space-saver in our cramped living room. All it takes is a few quick 'clicks' and you have the weight you need. From 5 pounds to 52.5 pounds, you're covered - couldn't really ask for more. Sure beats having a huge weight set in the living room.
My only cons: They're a bit bulky (duh) and hard to do a handful of exercises because of their size - but these are meant to be space savers for home use, so this really isn't a real complaint. They're perfect for what they try to accomplish.
