Perfect for everyday in home workout programs. Perfect for P90X users. I was looking for weights while doing the P90X and these were the best BANG FOR YOUR BUCK. You will not find better weights anywhere for this price! They are very easy to use and move around. The two negatives is they are a lil wide and take up room (not a big deal). They do the job you are looking for. They range from 5-52.5 lbs. and the .5 increments work well to help define your routine.
If you are doing P90X you really don't even need to have up to 50lbs trust me!
I would recommend this to everyone esp. P90X users. I was using free weights where I had to change the plates every routine and it was slowing me down and tiring me out. With the Bowflex weights you turn a dial and you are back in action. You can't ask for anything more. GET THEM! 5 Stars ***** !

My old roommate had a similar pair and it lasted the two of us for 4 years. We parted ways and I decided to buy my own. So far they have completely delivered. The space savings are significant and well worth the price. As for durability I do not have any issues. When I am done with each set I put them back in their stand on the floor. I don't see how there could be any issues unless you are dropping them when you are done. Like I said we had two people using the same design for 4 years and treating them pretty rough and we had no serious issues. We both just put the weights back in the stand after each set.
If I need a set of free weights again in the future I would definitely purchase these again. The fact that I can have a complete set of weights up to 52.5 lbs in only one spot of my living room is fantastic.

I bought this product because of space limitations in my garage. By the time you add up the cost for individual weights, this product is a great deal, especially with amazon's free shipping (really important for a heavy item like this). The set is of great quality and easy to use. A friend had a bowflex machine and I remember it being sort of cheap and flimsy, but this product seems very solid and well built. They're a little bit long due to the various plates needed to make up the adjustable weight, but it's not too big to be a problem and sure beats having a whole rack of weights. I also liked the smaller weight increments in the lighter weights, it goes by 2.5lb for the lesser weights, which is great for my wife. Combine these with a bench and you can do just about any exercise needed for a total body workout.Customer Review: perfect family dumbells

I have used them for about 2 weeks now. No real complaints. Before you buy, I would read the previous reviews as they were very helpful to me. They are perfect for a family. My wife and kids use the lower weight settings. I can quickly click to my higher settings without bothering them. I would definitely buy this pair rather than one dumbbell with a higher max weight. As one reviewer said, keep the white foam boxes. They make an excellent stand. If you are a non girly girl and use the 52.5 setting, you will pull the entire dumbbell off its stand (the only setting that does this). If you do not put them back in the stand exactly right (the silver clips in the stand have to be aligned) the knobs will not rotate. Pick the dumbbell out of the stand and re seat it properly. I bought these dumbells to supplement my treadmill and rowing machine at home. So fat they have worked out great. The ability to have increments of weight without taking up all the space is great. I use these for a full body workout. I find the top end of 52.5 lbs to be somewhat lighter than I really want for chest leg and back exercises, however you can adjust the exercises to be more challenging by slowing down the reps etc. It is a fantastic way to fit in a quick home workout without the mess of tons of plates/changing lbs.
Other reviewers have made reference to the durability of the dumbells. I have not had a problem with this at all, however I am careful about not dropping them etc. I would definitely reccomend them to anyone looking to beef up their home gym while conserving on space.
