First Thing -- You cannot / must not / should not attempt to drop these.
If you want a dumbbell that you can work out until failure and drop (which I, personally, think is foolish) this product is not for you.
If you are performing workouts that are under control / smart these will work fine.
I like that they were cheap to ship from Amazon. I am a previous owner of the smaller SelectTech (the 2.5-20lbs ones) and I purchased the 552 because I needed heavier things to lift.

Very sturdy and stable adjustable weight system. Heavy to move around the house between workouts but not an issue if you can leave them in one place. Very little movement (if any) of the weights when in use. You can change the weights quickly (a few seconds) and easily. I use them for the P90X program instead of the bands.
If you want a dumbbell set and don't have the money/space for a full set, these are probably your best bet.
Con: Expensive! But worth it if you can afford it.

I recently started doing tony horton's p90x and it was recommened that i get these weights. my first thought was $360.00? These must be amazing weights and in fact they are. they are very easy to use and take up very little space. The durability is also high as ive used these for more then just weights. All in all, if your serious about getting in shape i would recommend them because otherwise you will look at them and say that they were a waste of $360 if you dont or the best $360 if you do.Customer Review: Great set of weights to get you in shape

I was skeptical when I ordered weights that were plastic but my doubts have been put to rest in the last 3 months. This is a great product. The weights are easy to adjust making switching between different workouts a snap. I don't have enough room in my house to accommodated all the weights that this one set is able to replace. The only issue I have ever had is that occasionally when you go to pick up the weights more try to come up than you select but if you wiggle the dial it clears right up.Customer Review: GREAT WITH P90X!!

these dumbbells go with the P90X home fitness system. it allows you to quickly adjust weights without having 20 diffrent sets of weights. You can also see faster results because the weights gradually increase to a max of 52.5 allowing you to improve and build up stregth. it sucks amazon dont ship to APO but i was able to just send it to my friend and forward it to me. overall the postage was about 70 bux from cali to APO. if you want the best dumbbells system.....get this one!
