Description of Bones Super Swiss 6 Competition Skate Bearings

This unique design features six larger diameter balls instead of seven. The advantage is higher speed, quicker acceleration, greater strength and durability
Keep your ride smooth and sustained with the innovative Super Swiss 6 Competition Skate Bearings from legendary bearings manufacturer Bones. Super Swiss 6 bearings use 6 larger balls instead of the standard 7 balls for maximum speed and strength. Swiss bearings are an excellent choice for any type of board, providing low friction for the around-town skater and durability for the professional competition skater. These precision-grade bearings have been outfitted with rubber shields for easy cleaning, competition-grade racing lubricant, and Nylon ball retainers for extra speed and sturdiness. Skate Rated bearings perform better than any ABEC rated bearings, and all Swiss Bearings carry a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects.

Sports reviews of Bones Super Swiss 6 Competition Skate Bearings

Customer Review: i keep buying these.
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

out of the few bearings i've skated on, these are the best. i refuse to buy chinese bearings because china has bad labour practices, bad foreign relations policies, and no concern for consumer health and safety. i've read how bearing experts have shown that bones reds are no better than any of the other junk chinese bearings out there. i pretty much only buy bones swiss bearings now even though i'm open to buying japanese or u.s. made bearings. back in the old days, we would ride german "gmn" bearings, but i don't see those anymore.

i feel these are more durable than the original seven-ball bearings. at least, i feel they need to be cleaned less often. when you clean and relube these (and i sure as heck hope you properly maintain your bearings), it's easier to remove these cages than with the original bones swiss. however, when putting the cages back in be careful! i managed to bend a cage, and it no longer works. also, if you clean these bearings in the bones bearing cleaning unit, be careful about letting the balls fall out of the housing. that has happened to me many times.

Customer Review: Really, why skate anything else?
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

At $35 for a set of 8, its hard to really think about skating much else.
Quite simply put: If you're used to skating cheap chinese bearings like the Bones Reds, you'll feel the speed but if you're rolling decent another brand's Swiss made ABEC-7, the quality gains won't be very pronounced. Short of going to Ceramics (with proper care) you probably won't skate anything better this side of $50. They're ideal for longboards and cruisers where speed is the main concern but I've found myself using them in my long board and two regular sized decks, replacing my previous go-to, the Lucky Swiss Bearings (another quality bearing) mostly thanks to being $5 cheaper, and arguably a little more longevity thanks to the slightly larger bearing size over the ABEC-7s.

Customer Review: Worth a change for a world of difference
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

I bought 16 pcs of these bearings to replace the default ones on my Ripstik G castorboard and xliders. These bearings are worth paying for, as they spin very smoothly and spin longer than the default ones. For the riding experience, I find that the bearings can help to pick up speed faster and also enable you to go faster.

I think Bones have got their own high standards right and they are much better than ABEC ratings used for machine bearings. I think serious skaters should consider not use bearings meant for machines or equipment.
No regrets buying these bearings, really made a heaven and earth difference in the riding experience.

Customer Review: Magic Bearings
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

The price was reasonable for performance, delivery from TSG skateboard was super quick, and the bearings are AMAZING!!! I can only imagine that this is what it feels like to skate on heaven. The difference between these bearings, and the crappy sealed bearings that were in my skates is like night and a three month Alaskan Day. I know a lot of rollergirls tried my skates after I got these and new wheels, and they thought it was the wheels that made the ride so smooth. I keep trying to explain to them it's the bearings that they were in love with. I've had them for a little over a month now and I love them! You won't be disappointed with this purchase.

Customer Review: My Favorite Bearing
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

Easily my favorite bearing. They have always felt better then all the other bearings i have tried. The six ball construction instead of seven really cuts down the friction. You can really feel it when use a larger wheel like a Retro BigZig, O-Tang Durian, etc. The best thing is though i feel like these bearings are much easier to clean. Granted like all bearings they get dirty and with out double shielding (which i personally dislike) they get dirty quickly. But the larger space in the bearing really helps while cleaning. A great buy even at full price. A opportunity that can't be missed at a discounted price.
