The perfect tailgate game or a competitive contest for a summer lawn party, the Blongo® Family Fun BlongoBall Set includes 2 BlonGoals (racks) and 2 sets of three BlongoBalls. The object is to toss the two BlongoBall, two-piece golf balls attached to rope, on to one of the bars attached to the BlonGoal for a certain number of points.Liven up your camping trips and family reunions with this full BlongoBall set. Appropriate for use both outdoors and indoors, BlongoBall combines elements from bocce, horseshoes, croquet, and other lawn sports, but adds a unique twist: rather than throwing a ball or a shoe, you throw a BlongoBall, which is technically two small spheres connected by a thin stretch of rope. The goal is to wrap your BlongoBall around one of the horizontal bars of the BlonGoal, which stands 25 feet away (or less if kids are playing). Players score one, two, or three points with a successful throw, depending on which bar the BlongoBall grabs. And the game ends when one person or team reaches 21 points exactly. You can even add a bit of defensive strategy to the game by trying to knock your opponent's BlongoBalls off the bars.
BlongoBall is fun for kids and families, but it's also great for physical education classes, teambuilding games, or even as a rehab tool in a therapy setting. The BlongoBall set comes with two BlonGoals and two sets of BlongoBalls. Players can also purchase such accessories as extra BlongoBalls, a carrying bag, and a portable score tower.
About BlongoBall
Mike Long and his wife, Roberta, were early retirees who spent much of their time fishing, hunting, rafting, boating, and RVing. When Mike was introduced to the rudimentary concept of BlongoBall, he decided that the game merited serious development and investigation. Mike built the prototype game and used all of his friends as test subjects. BlongoBall was tested on the beaches of Lake Powell, on raft trips on the Salmon River, on the beaches of San Diego, and in parks and campgrounds form the southwest to the northwest. In every location, passersby would stop and interrupt the games to find out where they could buy BlongoBall. The enthusiastic response encouraged Mike to continue to refine the rules and goal configurations.
After months of design, research and testing, Mike applied for and received a patent for BlongoBall, which has been enthusiastically received by kids and adults of all ages since its release. Founded in 2004, BlongoBall is located in Spokane, Washington.

Wow, what fun. This game is a great party, family gathering, evening out in the back yard game. It assembled easily and comes apart as quickly and goes back into the box the same. We have taken it on picnics, to the beach, etc. I viewed and compared many of these sets that are available on line, in local stores and even checked out the plans for building your own. After comparing prices (it cost more to buy the supplies from the big box home improvement store) and looking at quality, I determined that this Blongo ball set was the one to buy. Great game! Great fun. BlongoBall game is sturdy; well-made; and so convenient to have the carrying case to keep everything in one place. Perfect for any gathering! It's more popular than horseshoes now because the "girls" can get it on the fun! We're asked to bring it to other BBQs; beach; picnics....so, I know now what I'll be buying for some friends/family for Christmas this year! Everyone just has a blast playing Blongoball. I bought this for a family gathering and it got a workout! Easy to assemble (though you might want to pay attention to how it is packed before first removing the parts -- it only goes back in the original box ONE way!) The balls are golf balls, so heed the warning about trying to catch them! The small kids had fun with it, though we moved the stands closer together for them. The problem was getting the older kids (like 30+) to share! A lot of fun, very portable (once you get it back in the box) and everyone wanted to know where they could buy one.Customer Review: great game multi-age

We purchased this for our family end-of-summer get together. It worked out great. The kids could play as well as adults. we played one -on-one and also teams. The construction is great. It is tubes that are very sturdy and the bottom does not tip. i read several reviews about other makes that break or tip over. this one is well designed. We do leave it together for the most part- but i have traveled with it to friends and it is easy to assemble and light. I highly recommend this. BlongoBall is a very entertaining outdoor game for family members from about six years and up. It is well made and very easy to assemble. The basics of the game are simple to learn, although becoming skilled at playing can take a little while. For those with physical challenges, there's no reason why shortening the throwing distance can't be done. (My wife's 95-year-old wheelchair-bound aunt made that observation immediately after having the game described to her, noting that it would be a great game for the folks in her nursing home.)
