With the powerful and versatile Quadrant up front and the exceptionally bright Mars 3.0 in the rear, the Quadrant Mars 3.0 pack provides long run times and ample illumination for commuting and errands.An essential measure for any safety-conscious biker, the Blackburn Quadrant and Mars 3.0 Combo Bicycle Lights will help make sure you see the road and drivers see you. This combination of lights includes one Blackburn Quadrant light and one Blackburn Mars 3.0 light. The Quadrant is constructed in a tough, water-resistant case and utilizes four super-bright white LEDs. This bicycle light features optically-boosted center LEDs that light up what is ahead, and wide angle side LEDs with side-light pipes that provide 180-degrees of visibility. Blackburn's Quadrant light runs on four AA batteries (included) for 110 hours in steady mode, or 300 hours in flash mode.
The Mars 3.0 is constructed in a tough, water-resistant case and utilizes seven super-bright red LEDs. This rear bicycle light features lens optics that increase its visible distance, and side LEDs that provide 180-degree safety-boosting visibility. Blackburn's Mars 3.0 runs on two AAA batteries (included) for up to 50 hours in steady mode, or 150 hours in flash mode.

I purchased this set about 6 months ago at a bargain price (less than $17). After six months' use, I am still very pleased with the durability of the light, the long-lasting battery, and the ease of installation. (I am not mechanically inclined, and even I could do this myself).
Highly visible, three settings (steady light and two blinking light options). These make me feel much safer when I'm biking at night.
Highly recommended. Exceptional value for the price.

For the cash this is hands-down THE best combo-kit available. Very well thought out with features as "side" LED's on the rear & light is visable from the sides on the headlight as well. The tail light gets 6 stars for being the brightest I've ever seen. The "disco-dance" flash puts it over the top. The Cateye EL500 is equal in headlight brightness but costs twice as much & you don't get a taillight with the cateye. The LEDs are very bright and highly visible. The rear light has red lights in back and amber on the sides, plus a quick-disconnect clip. The on switches cycle through steady on, then two different flashing modes, then off. The mounts are easy to install and adjust, and are lined with rubber to prevent slipping and damage to the finish of your bike. They're compact in size and look good on the bike, can't think of anything I'd change to improve them.Customer Review: Urban Tested

I used the lightset a full riding season before commenting. The price is right. The visibility is excellent. The mounting is simple. Probably the best bang for the buck in bicycle lights. Please note the rear light is functional in both urban and country riding. The headlight is a little suspect out of the urban setting. I would not use the 1/2 strobe or full strobe mode for the headlight out of the urban setting. I highly recommend this product.Customer Review: The best. Period.

Simply the best there are. So bright that you'll be seen from half a mile away at night. Even NYC cabs take notice. After installing these I prefer biking *after dark*, just because I feel safer.
Little tip for those with aspirations in the field of law enforcement: buy TWO sets, install a red filter to the second headlight, set both to 'rapid blink' and you'll be amazed at how many people move aside.
