Named after a bright red planet visible from afar, the Mars 3.0 has seven super-bright red LED's inside a sleek water resistant case. The Mars 3.0 is constructed in a tough, water-resistant case and utilizes seven super-bright red LEDs. Blackburn's Mars 3.0 runs on two AAA batteries (included) for up to 50 hours in steady mode, or 150 hours in flash mode.

I do a lot of night biking because I work third shift and I travel on roads where cars go anywhere from 35 - 55 M.P.H. I can say this is a very bright rear light with good battery life and is well worth its price. The "disco" mode is a very nice touch and I have to admit, even though you have to loosen three small phillips screws to change the batteries, I feel that this is a very good way to secure them and helps make the light a very sturdy design.Customer Review: Perfect Purchase

This product works great and is very bright indeed. Serves its purpose very well. No cons whatsoever, although I don't bike at night much so I'm not sure about battery life. I also won't be too thrilled to have to bust out a tiny screwdriver again to replace the batteries, but at least I know that the batteries can't fall out of the device when I go over a bump. This product is a perfect accessory to anyone who bikes when it's dark out.Customer Review: great light

Like some other reviewers the clip broke off .I contacted Blackburn via their web sight , They backed up their product I sent it to them, they mailed
me back a new one no charge. Also my local bike shop carries Blackburn products and
They told me they would have exchanged it for me and sent the old one back to the company no charge

This thing is BRIGHT. I've had mine for several months now, use it nightly (morningly, really). Works great, I'd recommend it to anyone, and provided you have a small enough philips-head screwdriver to switch the batteries in/out, you're golden.
If anything happens to the one I have, I'm buying another one just like it. In fact it's so great I'm tempted to buy another just for MORE being seen.

This light is fantastic! Simple to install, very sturdy and solid, and brighter than bright! I think the side lights are a great feature, giving terrific visibility even in the darkest dark. I keep it on the chase mode which to me is better than flashing, keeping one of the LEDs lit at all times. I recommend this light very highly for great visibility and for its solid construction.
