I second all the plus/minuses from other reviews on the Blackburn Quadrant Mars 3.0 Combo Bicycle Light Set. It's a great little kit to have on your bike. Love the rear Light. Blackburn Quadrant and Mars 3.0 Combo Bicycle Light Set.
Use in conjunction with Planet Bike Blinky Super Flash Tail Light and you should be set. Use a High Visibility ANSI Class 2 Safety Vest to be seen in the dark as well. GLoWEAR Class 2 Economy Vest, Lime, L/XL #21025 / 8210HL

I ride almost every day the temperature is above 10F in varied terrain, regardless of weather.
This light is highly-visible and stays on, no matter what I do. It is rather tall, making it difficult to mount on a seatpost equipped with a seat bag. However, I just mounted it on the left seat-stay. The included batteries last an incredibly long time with a bright, strong light.
When it comes time to move the light or change the batteries, it unclips easily. Usually a weak point, the battery cover is actually the whole back of the unit and must be unscrewed to remove. While it may seem inconvenient, you'll change batteries maybe every year or two. Also, battery doors usually jiggle loose, allowing water to get in or, even more fun, the batteries to escape.
This little guy is a rock solid performer that is durable, long-lasting, super-bright, and well worth the investment.

I believe one of the other reviewers said that the only way that he wouldn't get seen with this blinky is if he forgot to turn it on. I would agree. This little guy is pretty bright. I bought this as part of the blackburn headlight/taillight pair. I's been very reliable on a second bike that I use. It even has this robocop look to it that is kinda cool. I'm all about spending a few extra bucks to be well lit at night-if the products are bright and reliable, and this one meets my criteria.
I also use Down Low Glow Lighting Kit - Two Tubes-Envy(green) and Planet Bike headlights Planet Bike Beamer 3 LED Bicycle Light with Quick Cam Bracket Mount for safer night riding.

I've used a lot of different rear lights on my bike. Generally they either fall off or get lost. This one has a very secure mounting system, so I doubt it will fall off. If it does fall off I would suggest that it's probably not properly mounted or clipped in.
You can mount it to your seat stay, although I use a trunk bag and have it on my luggage rack. I could also clip it to my helmet if I wanted to use a different bike. If the mount breaks you can contact Blackburn's customer service and request a new one.
This light is extremely bright - brighter than anything else that I have used. You can see it from the back as well as the sides, so it makes you that much more visible. All in all, this is a quality tail light and a great deal.

I am very satisified with this light. Great flashing. I ride during the day only, but, use this light anyway because I just don't trust that drivers will see me. I found the installation of the batteries a little difficult, but, not enough to lower the rating. You will need small "precision" or "hobby" screwdrivers to open the back. It is weather proof so expect that once you have the screws off that it will "stick" to the together and you may need to use your fingernails to pry the 2 sections apart. DO NOT USE THE SCREWDRIVER. I've only used it on 2 rides so far, but, it stays well clipped to my saddle bag. It comes with a seat post clamp, but I have a saddle bag on my seat so I'm not using it, but, it appears sturdy and easy to install.
