Riding on poorly inflated tires make cycling more difficult and flats happen on rides. For these reasons I keep a pump with me. When preparing for a ride, I prefer to have the least amount of stuff I can get by with. This lightweight pump stays out of the way, but does the job when needed.
This pump made with a high-pressure carbon-fiber barrel is 11 inches / 28 cm long and weighs 5.5 ounces / 157 grams. The handle folds out from the pump forming an ergonomic T handle. Combined with the double-action internals, this pump will easily fill your tires to 160 psi. 160 psi is overkill for mountain bikes and is needed more for road bikes. A bracket with Velcro strap keeps the pump attached to your bike in between uses.
Blackburn stands behind their quality products. If you have trouble with their pumps, it is covered by their lifetime warranty. This may be the last pump you'll ever need.

Bombproof.The Blackburn Airstik CF Bicycle Road Pump has a high-pressure barrel that allows it to fill road tires quickly. The Airstik CF is constructed with a carbon-fiber barrel that reduces its weight while maintaining its durability. This bicycle pump features an ergonomic head and a fold-out T-handle that increases leverage when in use, and double-action internals to reduce time and effort. The Airstik CF also features a sticky-but-durable rubber grip zone for an excellent feel and sure grip, as well as a large thumb-lock lever that is easy to grab. Blackburn's Airstik CF pump achieves a maximum pressure of 160psi, weighs 157 grams, and comes with a limited lifetime warranty.
