Sports reviews of Billy Boot Camp Box Set DVDCustomer Review: motivating workout Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
I bought this DVD set at a warehouse store yesterday and I've just finished the first workout. There are some familiar moves from the original TAE-BO tapes, but these exercises are much more challenging. The 'Billy Bands' add resistance to the basic moves. This allows you to get a strength, cardio and flexibility workout in one. The choreography is really simple so that even the least co-ordinated people should be able to stay in step. This is a very challenging workout, and might be a little difficult for people who are not in shape. If you are moderately fit, you'll find this workout to be fun and very motivating. According to my heart rate monitor, this workout burned a little less than 700 calories, so it will be a great substitute for a jog when the Seattle rain hampers my enthusiasm to exercise outdoors.
Customer Review: TaeBo Boot Camp & Bands Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
I definitely L-O-V-E TaeBo's video package.. Sure it is fast pace but nothing you can't do if you are in somewhat good shape. That is what you want, someone that will work you hard so you can build muscle.. right? ... At the beginning is hard, but as you gain strength things start to get much better. I really feel I work my tummy, that is what I wanted the most. TaeBo also works your butt and your sides. What more would you want?
If you buy work out videos to have it collecting dust, or buy videos that won't brake out a drop of sweat, why even bother?
Start out with the Basic Training, and as you get strength move on to the harder one.
I am very pleased with this purchase and I can see I will be using it many, many times!
:-)
Customer Review: For all the hot mamas with a little junk in the front (and all over)!! Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
I bought this a couple of weeks ago. I did it for the first time and thought I would croak on the floor. I like it. After the first two workouts. It was defenitely easier and you feel different. I have been using this for 3 wks and purchased the cardio and lower body movies also. I am a size 12, my pants are now falling off my hips. Yeah thats annoying but I feel fabulous. I have never been the type to workout. I got pregnant with my daughter and gained 90 lbs. I lost some but still needed to tone and lose more. I think I expected to wake up and be thin again. Not gonna happen. After using it the first time I swear I felt different and motivated to keep on doing it. Its january by the summer I should be skinny and fabulous again!
Customer Review: Whew! Build It Up Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
Bootcamp is not for the faint of heart - in either sense of the phrase. But it is the most frustrating, kick-a**, motivational device to get in shape that I have found yet.
I actually watched the video a time or two before I started, to see what I could expect. Although it was intimidating, it did help to prepare me. Just something I'd throw out there ... worked for me, anyway.
A point - if there's any way you can manage it, do this WITH A GROUP, and(or at least) with ample space.
I'm adding the Cardio next. Billy's overall program is great, and it does allow you to take it more or less at your own pace...although I'm sure he wouldn't recommend that!
Customer Review: Billy Blanks: Boot Camp Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
I'm a little out of shape but because of my age I can snap back into shape with no problem but because of my present weight its easier said than done. So what I did was I paced my self. The first day I did 15 min. The next day I did a half an hour. I only did it 2x the first because of my schedule and what have you. The next week I did a half an hour and the third I did 45 min. I did exercise a third time but I did a personal burn out workout. The third week I slacked off and didn't exercise at all. But next week I plan on doing three days and the full dvd. So if you pace yourself you can do it. I actually love it.
