I bought these workouts 6 years ago after I had my first baby. I lost all the baby weight (40 lbs) and was in better shape than I was in the military! At first, I stuck to the recommended workouts throughout the week. I felt results after the first day & saw results w/in a couple of weeks. The first months workouts helped me gain so much energy & strength. I was able to add a 1-5 mile run on top of my workout (depending on the workout for the day). Everyone kept asking me what I was doing & I told them the Billy Blanks workouts. I have used the same videos & bands after every baby (3) and have been able to loose the weight (to include the baby pooch) every time. They target all the problem areas women have. Flabby arms, booty, thighs, love handles etc... These workouts have remained a staple in my workouts. Why change when it's worked so amazingly every time? I make the intensity of them a bit more after a little while. But these workouts work! I love the bands too! No clunky weights to take up space. You will feel great after every workout! Don't be frustrated if you can't do everything they do in the workouts in the beginning. Do what you can, do your best & keep it up! You'll be able to do everything in no time! If you continue to workout with Billy Blanks you'll not only lose the weight but get a strong toned body! Highly recommended!

I own Billy's Bootcamp and the Ultimate Bootcamp DVDs with the Billy Bands. I enjoy using the bands because it's a good challenge. I work out very often and take a lot of classes at my gym but when I cannot get to the gym I do this at home and I always feel like I got a good, challenging work out. I feel this is a great cardio and muscle conditioning work out in one. You will sweat, you will challenge your muscles, and you will feel it the next day! I would recommend this for someone who is intermediate to advanced. If you are just starting out, I would recommend trying the Tae Bo Basic work out first. It will give you a clean start and then you can move on to more advanced Tae Bo work outs. The Bootcamp Series could overwhelm you if you are brand new to exercise.
One thing that might be good to know is that you need a decent amount of space to move around when you do this dvd. I live in a small space and have to move around some furniture before I do this dvd. I don't find this to be an issue for me but if you live in extremely cramped spaces you may get frustrated. Try and give yourself some space to move around.

I had never been exposed to this guy until a friend loaned me the Basic Bootcamp dvd. Well, I could barely get through 20 minutes of it the first time I did it, but I really liked it, so I went out and bought the whole set. I was surprised at how quickly it whipped me into shape; I was able to get through the whole Basic bootcamp dvd after just two weeks. After another week, I was actually enjoying myself immensely.
After a couple of months, I have lost only 3 lbs (I was close to my "ideal weight" anyway).......BUT I lost 1 1/2 inches off of my waist, and look trim and mighty! My shoulders are pretty buff, my biceps are nice, and best of all, there isn't a hint of wiggle in the triceps area. And I've been proud to put on my bikini again!
There is a calendar that comes with this, outlining a schedule for the workouts. I don't believe the Cardio dvd comes with this set, so on 'cardio days' I just used my elliptical instead.
Highly recommend this, and you can easily do the exercises without the bands if you are new or just want to give yourself a break every once in awhile.

I bought this set two years ago but during the first session of the "Basic Training" boot camp DVD I aggravated my knee that had an ACL reconstruction. It happens sometimes. Last month I wanted to revamp my exercise program for the summer and while cleaning my closet I rediscovered the Boot Camp DVD set. So I gave it another go, removing those couple of exercises that would upset my knee.
WOW! After two weeks getting used to the Basic Training and the AB boot camp I can see and feel some real progress. I still cannot complete a few of the exercises, but I am 54 years old. The AB boot camp was not too bad, but I could feel it after about six hours. For some reason I didn't expect it to have such an impact.
I noticed that after these two weeks of boot camp workouts my bike rides are also improving, so the boot camp is helping me out in more than one area.

This is one of the best taebo series, it is very advanced not really for beginners. You see the results after a week after doing this workout. I highly recommend that you buy the deluxe set which includes the Lower and Cardio workout, they are fabulous as well. The resistance bands are challenging at first but with regular use with the workout, you will become stronger and more toned. Be careful, if you have a tender neck (like myself) or weak shoulders, there are a lot of press ups in some of these workouts. Don't do so many reps, I'm surprised that there have been a lot of bad reviews regarding this series but it truly is up there with the Get Ripped series. I have been doing taebo for over twelve years and I really enjoyed this workout. Give it try, it will definitely keep you fit and well and give you a body to die for.
