The construction of the ACS line starts with an extremely durable polyethylene shell that is then filled with polyurethane foam. This is the same foam used in standard surfboard construction. To ensure that the finished surfboard is an exact reproduction of the original proven shape, the entire procedure takes place in a mould that maintains the shape of the board. Hello, growing up in So. Cal. I have been surfing for over twenty years. Surfing is just like alot of other sports, the quality of the equipment you buy really does define the performance, not to mention the learning curve. Also being a skateboarder from way back, nothing bothered me more than seeing good intentioned parents at Wal Mart around Christmas time looking for the skateboard that little Timmy has been asking for since last January. I would often times have to stop and say a few words on Timmy's behalf. I would say " They dont sell skateboards here, they sell toy skateboards." I know many of you reading this right now know exactly what I'm talking about. Have you ever tried to ride one of those pieces of crap? Next to impossible, inferier wheels, trucks that dont return to center, hell I've actually seen the trucks installed backwards before. I would politly ask the parents to visit a local skate shop and look at some well designed and built piece of sporting equipment which is a well made skateboard. Not only will it be easier to learn on , but it will last longer and work alot better. That is my analogy for these "Bic Surfb oards", these are toy surfboards, NOT highly tuned pieces of sporting equipment. Please take my advice and buy a real used surfboard to learn on. Once you get the surfing bug (and you will) you can invest in a new board, and hand down the old one to Timmy.
P.S. And besides you'll look like a major kook walking down to the water with one of these toys under your arm.

Except nobody is going to take you seriously and you will be excluded from all the real surfers. Go to a surf shop and buy a used board for cheaper than this pen companies crap. Surf shop, learn the words, only an anti-social kook would buy a "board" over the internet. And remember, don't "learn/practice/try one time and give up for the rest of your life because you just learned surfing is hard" anywhere where surfers with the slightest amount of skill are surfing, we don't want you to endanger us or our equipment when you are flailing. Hopefully, when you go to the surf shop ask them where a good beginners spot is.Customer Review: FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!
