Sports reviews of Bell Free Fit Platinum Series 15 Function Wireless ComputerCustomer Review: Save your money! Sport shop rating: 1 Stars
I wish I had bothered to read these reviews before buying this bike computer! The first 200 miles that I used this computer, it would occasionally fail to pick up the rotation of the bike tire and read zero or some low number. After 200 miles, it barely worked at all. I read the manual and tried adjusting it numerous times. It is JUNK! I once thought that Bell was a quality brand, but I am quickly changing my opinion.
Do not buy this bike computer. Buy anything but this one.
Customer Review: Worked for 2 weeks, then stopped Sport shop rating: 1 Stars
I'm in the same boat as everyone else - this thing worked great, but after about 2 weeks it would randomly stop recording speed and distance. It would say 20MPH one second, then 3MPH the next, even though I was still going down the hill. Then it would work for a mile, then stop working and then start again. Very frustrating if you are trying to keep track of your mileage.
There is obviously some type of problem with this product - Amazon should stop selling it.
Customer Review: Amazon won't let me give it zero stars... Sport shop rating: 1 Stars
Because that's what any product should get when it's non-functional. I bought a piece of plastic, really.
I meticulously followed the instructions for installation, then spent a cumulative 4 hours over the next 3 days attempting to adjust the relative positions to get the sensor to read something, anything.
Nothing. Do not buy this. It's worthless and I don't know how they sell it.
Customer Review: piece of junk Sport shop rating: 1 Stars
The range of the wireless communication on this speedometer is less than 32 inches! With the unit mounted on my handlebars I can't get a signal. If I remove the unit from the handlebars and bring it closer to the transmitter it works fine. This is worthless. The bike is only a 20". It will be even worse for a larger bike.
The Bell website is also worthless. No way to contact them by Email.
Customer Review: Garbage. Seriously, I'm throwing it away. Sport shop rating: 1 Stars
Figured this'd make a nice, cheap trial of wireless computers. Um, not so much... Reads 0 when riding above a certain speed (about 16 or 17 MPH), and simply does not work in the cold (teens and below). Expect I'll eventually try wireless again, but this junk is headed toward the trash.
