Sports reviews of Bell Cocoon Rack Mounted Bicycle Child CarrierCustomer Review: Good seat with adequate safety guards Sport shop rating: 4 Stars
Purchased this for my 1-year old, so I wanted a little bit more safety railing/guards than some of the other carrier seats provide.
The seat was reasonably easy to install and has functioned very well ever since.
Customer Review: Nice seat Sport shop rating: 4 Stars
This is a good bike seat for the money. My son had his first ride in this seat on Sunday and he loved it! Took a bit of time to mount.
Customer Review: Close to perfection Sport shop rating: 4 Stars
The only thing that this is missing is a contraption that keeps the shoulder straps in place.

carrier is good for local trips around the neighborhood or park
Customer Review: Not bad Sport shop rating: 3 Stars
The installation was fairly easy, as long as you don't have a little one around, trying to steal all your tools and parts. We had to buy longer bolts to use on the clamp around the bike seat, but that was only 80 cents.
The seat is sturdy, no wobbling or swaying. My son loves it so much he falls asleep in it, even when we're on dirt trails.
My biggest problem with the seat is that it really throws off the balance of the bike. I can't lean the bike to turn or maneuver well. I usually walk it up steep hills because I just can't get comfortable enough to go at a good enough speed to easily get up the hills. I spend so much time balancing that I don't really enjoy riding as much. My husband tried using the seat on his bike, however, and he had much better results. But for the most part, we have to have it on my bike so that I can take my son on errands during the day.
Overall, not bad. I think it's a good choice for bikes that don't have room for a center- or front- mounted child seat. Just be wary of maneuvering.
