I purchased this child carrier last year and have nothing to complain about. The seat itself is not "wobbly", it is just flexible. No safety issues there. The screws do not come loose. I have taken off this child carrier at least a dozen times to ride solo and never had a problem with screws coming loose. Being a worry wart I check the screws everytime before riding with my 3-yr old daughter and they have never once been loose. My daughter loves sitting in the back. She can see just fine. I feel much more secure with this carrier than the ones that mount in front of you. Who hasn't had a bug, leaf, or small pebble come up and hit you in the face when riding? I sure am glad it happens to me and not my daughter. Also, God forbid we were to hit anything. What if we were to flip over? I sure wouldn't want to fall on top of my daughter.
Anyway, thought I might share my experiences/opinions.
I am truely happy with this and at the current price how could you lose. I paid forty dollars more for the same model.

I put this on my Trek mountain bike since I didn't want to give up riding after the baby arrived. My little girl loves riding on this with me and everytime we get out of the car in the garage she points to the seat and says "bike, bike!"
I have an older Trek 6000 hard tail that I was able to get all the mounting brakets around the bike frame. However, I had to use vice-grips to hold brackets around the thicker seat post and wheel bars to get the bolts through the bracket holes. So, even tough it was definitely a squeeze, everything was able to fit securely, without damage to my bike.
The nice thing about this is that the seat has three hand bolts that can be unscrewed to remove the entire seat. So, you can still go riding with only the seat brace attached. I haven't had a chance to really off road with the brace still attached, but I don't see any reason why it would cause a problem with your solo riding.

My husband put this on my bike and it works perfectly, is solid as a rock and is made of quality materials. My 14 month old daughter loves it! It is easy to ride with on my bike! I am so glad we purchased it! I like the cocoon shape, it seems safe and cozy and provide more shielding and support on the sides than most bike seats. The adjustable foot holds are also nice. We were looking for a mid-priced bike seat and this worked out perfectly! The harnesses hold her in very tight and don't slip around at all. The rack that holds the seat is extremely sturdy. Apparently this seat is supposed to come off and go back on easily, which I haven't tried yet, but if we ever have to put my bike on my bike rack on my car it will be very convenient -- because you are not supposed to have the carrier attached to a bike on a bike rack if you are traveling. This carrier came within 2 days of ordering! The instructions were decent, but with common sense you can get it together in less than 20 min. The bike I bought was not compatible with this seat, a schwinn women's comfort bike. This carrier will only work with moutain bikes. I exchanged the Schwinn for a Lakota and still had to adjust the positioning of the pieces that connect to the tire frame area. But with a little resourcefulness it worked out. My daughter is 19.4lbs (14 1/2 months old) and even after not riding a bike for over 10 years, the bike was easy to handle with her on. She loves it! She used the handlebar in front the entire time. It is very lightweight and flexible (at first was apprehensive)BUT VERY STURDY! The seat is padded nicely and the straps are more secure than I thought they'd be. Get refelctive tape though, when dark the bike and carrier are not easily seen.Customer Review: Great carrier for the price and gets us out of the house!

This has been an excellent child carrier for our bikes! We mounted it on my husbands bike thinking it would be too awkward for me to manuever, but it turned out to be a lot easier to handle than we had orginally thought and I take my husbands bike out now when he's not home so our 2 year old can get out of the house for a fun bike ride. We are going to buy a 2nd one for my bike soon so I won't have to hop off and on my hubby's -- but this just goes to show you it doesn't effect your balance like you'd expect. My son loves the carrier and is very comfy in it, gets to see all the sites, I think he's only missing a drink holder! Great buy!
