Sports reviews of BARSKA 6.5-20x50 AO Varmint Target Dot RiflescopeCustomer Review: AWESOME for the Money! Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
When it comes to rifles and their attachments, you can spend any amount of money that you want to.
You can spend $800 on a rifle, then spend $900 on the scope. For me, that isn't going to work!
No way and I going to spend that extra money on something that wouldn't make that much of a difference!
Don't get me wrong, if it was my job to get the absolute best shot, then it would be worth it but since I am a casual type shooter, saving the money and buying a 870 Shotgun and this scope is a much wiser move!
I purchased this scope based on the reviews and the price. A fantastic choice and a very good decision.
Works perfectly on my Remington 700 .308 Sniper Platform! Magnification really works well!
Even at full magnification the optics quality is good!
Many reviews made it sound like you wouldn't be able to see what you were looking at, completely not true!
Sure, you zoom in all the way, the image quality is going to suffer but not to the point where it is going to kill the shot.
Not sure if anyone said this or not, but this scope doesn't come with rings so you will need to purchase them if you don't have extra sitting around.
For me, this was a very wise choice!
Customer Review: Great scope for airsoft!! Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
I knew this scope wasn't made for airsoft rifles, but I mounted this baby on my UTG Master Sniper, and they seem to have been made for each other. They complement each other nicely in looks, feel, and operability. The scope comes with the necessary rings, two flip up lens covers, protective lens covers (which, unfortunately, drastically reduce visibility) and a sunshade that will practically eliminate glare unless you're looking straight at the sun itself. I've used this scope every other day for nearly 8 months and it does its job like its fresh out of the box. Only complaint I've got is that the mounting rings are rusting, which has me baffled because they haven't had any contact with water or any other sever element. The scope itself is fine though. Magnification is great, though detail is slightly blurred at high magnification. I back this one all the way!
Customer Review: Barska Varmint Target Dot Rifle Scope Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
I bought this scope for my Savage 10FP in 308 Win two years ago. I have not shot the rifle until this weekend. I was pleasantly surprised that the $50.00 scope held together. I am not an rifle expert at all. I'm a very casual shooter and I managed to zero this scope in 20 shots. The distance I was shooting was 50 yards. All 20 shots went into the letter size paper target. Twisting the turrets was straight forward and easy. I know the price on this scope went up from two years ago, but this is still an excellent value for the size (50MM!) and features on this scope. I used this scope as a spotting scope when I was shooting my .22 lr rifles. You could see very clearly on this scope. I can't wait to try it out on longer distances, 100 yds or more. I highly recommend it! Thank you Amazon for a great product!
Customer Review: Powerful and Accurate Scope Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
This is a wonderful scope, especially for the price range. I had it bore-sited onto my .22, and after dialing it in, I'm now consistently hitting targets out to 100 yards. The image is clear and sharp, and the cross hairs are small enough not to cover your target, but easily seen. Focuses with amazing clarity on anything over 25 yards or so, and the magnification works beautifully for me, all the way up to 20x. The elevation and windage dials work beautifully. The only thing to be warned of is the fact that the 50mm objective lens is huge! This makes the scope function incredibly, but I had to buy really tall scope rings to get the scope high enough off the barrel. I can't recommend this scope highly enough.
Customer Review: excellent varmint scope Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
I bought this scope to accompany my Remmington 597. I have used it to essentially blast nuisance animals like squirrels, moles, and groundhogs, as well as the occaisional crow or two. The scope is crystal clear, and I especially enjoy the anti-parallax adjustment ring. With this scope, and a bench rest, I can comfortably plink a metal target or shoot a 2" grouping at 150 yards, and if i tried hard enough, I could probably knock out the staples holding the target up. I Also enjoy that the lens caps also double as a light magnification piece much like how shooting glasses work. All in all, there are better scopes out there, but not ones this good for this price.
