Customer Review: Super poles for hiking

I bought 2 pairs of poles for hiking the Grand Canyon in January. This was the 1st time I have formally used poles. Previously when I hiked I might find a stick while hiking and use this. However, after using the hiking poles I am a true believer in the advantages of having 2 while carrying a backpack.
The poles are well made. They lasted the week of hiking in both snow at the top of the canyon and the rocky bottom below. The tightened well and were also easy enough to twist to loosen and change as conditions changed. I noticed slight wear on the metal ends after the week of using them on the rocky bottom, but nothing that concerned me greatly or lessened their ability to ease my travels.
I hope I don't have to replace these soon, but if I do I would get the same ones.
