Customer Review: Didn't fit me but seems high quality

I swim 2-3 times a week (both pool and open water). I needed new goggles and saw that these got outstanding reviews. I figured I should try them on first so I went to a local triathlon store and quickly put them on for a few seconds. I think I was biased because they got such great reviews and they felt high quality so I didn't check the fit as thoroughly as I should have. In the pool, I can't get them to fit right. The lenses are just too close to my eyes. Every time I blink, my lashes (and nearly my eyelid) brush up against the lens. It drives me crazy. If I loosen them up to prevent this, they leak. They just wouldn't work. Of course that doesn't mean that these goggles are no good. They just don't work for ME. However, they do have a pro feel to them. I really wish they did fit. I found out later that they make a Kaiman small but I don't know if that would have made a difference. I ended up getting the aqua sphere seal mask and I love it. The seal is like super glue and the visibility is better than any goggle I have ever used. They are also very comfortable. However, you won't look cool like Phelps. Also, I imagine they marginally increase drag, but that's probably pretty irrelevant to most of us.
In short, just like with any goggles, you just have to try them for yourself. Tighten them up like you would for a swim, wear them awhile, blink, etc. Also test them in the water before throwing away the receipt. But they are definitely worth a try. Good luck!
