I received the Aqua Sphere Ear Plugs the same day I got my goggles from the same company. Prior to that I was using ear plugs I purchased in WalMart and those were not very good. As soon as I tried the new Aqua Sphere Ear Plugs in the pool I was very happy with them, the ones in Walmart, , where anything but comfortable or even efficient enough to do the job. My new Aqua Sphere Ear Plugs fitted like real swimming plugs. This newfound love lasted only 3 days for in the 4th day (yesterday) they simply vanished. One moment I had them with me, the next they were gone. I retraced my steps but the final mystery was never resolved. Where Did They Go?? I will never know, but I miss them and wish them a long life wherever they are now. Guess What? I am back to the WalMart ear plugs while I wait for a new brand of earplugs I found in the Internet and claim to be the absolute best. Why did I not order the same Ear Plugs again? Probably because I felt silly and mystified at how easy they vanished, felt it would be better for the time being to shop around. I still have them in my Wish List and Summer is right around the corner, but for now 4 Stars for the Aqua Sphere Ear Plugs, so blue and beautiful but now...a thing of the past.Customer Review: Less water, more swimming

I bought these because I was tired of the weird sound/feeling of water shifting about in my ears after I got out of the pool. If you are seeking a product that will prevent water in the ears, these are not 100% watertight. I still get water in my ears, but not any more than if I'd been in the shower washing my hair. They work for me but if you tend to get ear infections easily or have other reasons for keeping your ears completely dry, you might want to look elsewhere.
If you are distracted by the feeling of water in your ears while swimming, these will remove that distraction and make it more pleasurable to swim. After frequent use the plastic box they came in broke in 2 pieces but it was joined together by such a narrow piece of plastic it was bound to happen.

I've had trouble over the years finding ear plugs that would make a consistent seal against sound. I've tried various types, including the compressible foam, but nothing seems to work all the time. I use ear plugs when riding my motorcycle, under my full face helmet. These plugs work great and are very comfortable. They're also very easy to remove (not so the compressed foam, if they're just a little too far in). I've had no problems with the ends touching the inside of the helmet and have since bought several more, including some for my riding buddies to try. My only complaint is that the included case doesn't hold up to repeated use - the "hinge" just doesn't last - but the plugs have held up nicely for a couple of months now.
