I just received the Ab Rocket and it is the greatest! I've read all the reviews when deciding to buy and I COMPLETELY disagree with the following comments (carpet stains, noise, made of plastic, not enough resistance) - those are all lies!!!I'm not kidding. It makes NO NOISE, it is made of metal which is welded (and I weld and so I know what a good weld looks like), it doesn't stain carpets and it has plenty of resistance.
Many people who complain about the resistance don't understand that the resistance is there to help you out and not do the work for you. Imagine how much of an ab workout you would get if you sat in the front seat of your car and hit the button to make your car seat go into its upright position???? And this is the type of support people are expecting!! You would never work your abs that way. The resistance is there to assist you - not do the work for you!!! You have to use your abs for this to work.
The great thing is that instead of using 1/2 your muscles to support your back and neck and the other 1/2 to work your abs - you are using 90% of your muscles to work your abs. You will feel the burn immediately. I just did 10 "crunches" on the Ab Rocket and still feel the burn 20 minutes later.
Do your abs a favor and try it out now that you know what it is REALLY all about. Oh, and the Ab Rocket has an adjustable headrest that fits any size person (my wife uses it lower and I use it on the higher level) - and it is simple to adjust.
I also got the Flexmaster with mine which is also great - each resistance band has fully adjustable resistance.

I have to say I'm verry, verry pleased. I debated buying this for a very long time and I wish I didn't. Don't believe the negative commenst you might see. I own a lot of expensive exercise equiptment and this is one of my favorites and works a targeted problem area I have had for a long time. After only 3 weeks I have noticed a remarkable change in my stomach area. Keep in mind I was not able to do even 3 sit ups before I purchased this item and within 1 week I was doign 2 reps of 10 and have progressivly worked towards more as of today. I have lost in 1 month almost 1/2 inch in my ab area and 1/4 from my hips and 1/4 inch on my thighs,I was not going to leave a review until I gave this at least one month trial I can actually see defination beginning that I have never seen in myself before ever!
Now if you are looking for this to do the work for you this is not for you but if you are willing to do the work it does assist you and I have also noticed I can do different tarketed areas depending on how I position myself so this does much more then I expected. For me dont listen to thoes negatives ads on this product I almost didn't get this product because of them and in my opnion after one month use they are not truthfull or you are hearing from someone whom wants the results or easy way out and not do the work and as we all know if you really want to change soemthing you have to do the work and this product assists very well....This vendor was great the item shipped quickly and reasonable I Highly 100% Recomend the ABROCKET

What the Ab Rocket is suppose to do- and does, is help you do an ab crunch correctly, without putting undo strain on your neck, shoulders and back.
I fast-forwarded though most of the DVD (haven't had a chance to look at the Pilates section yet), and then simply work out while watching a Netflix - flick. As with anything else, you must pay attention to your form and do the movements correctly - or you're wasting time and effort.
I use the strongest of the springs (like some others, I wish they had another level higher) and do 50 crunches at a time - normally going to 500 total. It might seem like a lot, but doing them this way is so much easier on my back, shoulder and neck, that I don't mind putting in the extra effort. And yes, I do feel it!
The unit went together in under 5 minutes and I don't bother 'hiding' it between uses. Besides, this is another place the cats have taken over to sleep on when not in use.
I use the Ab Rocket in conjunction with the iBslender rocker. And as I mention in another review I have some physical health issues that need to be catered to: Fibromyalgia, scoliosis, asthma, and a shoulder that needs surgery (stretched out ligaments, it dislocates).. oh and I'm 51 too.
This unit allows me to work out, improve my health and not hurt myself further. I'm happy.

I am not a paid reviewer, that's for sure. I looked at the Ab Rocket with a lot of skepticism but with the simple hope that it would work as advertised. This product does work if you use it right. Initially, I approached it from a typical sit-up perspective, but that wasn't the right way. This is good for crunches, not sit-ups. It makes them easier and definitely more fun. Watch the accompanying video and they'll show you how to use it correctly. Actually, I didn't get it till I saw my wife using it, then the light came on. So, first off - it does work. The other good thing is it really is lightweight and relatively easy to set up and move around. It's true as some have said here - the resistance coils do take more effort to change than I would prefer (I needed to use a pliers, actually). But I've had all kinds of exercise equipment and they've always been heavier, bulkier, and more difficult to manipulate than made to appear. This only weighs 10 pounds, so thankfully, this isn't like them. Is it worth $100? I say yes, because it isn't about the value of the materials so much as it is about the value of its effectiveness. Can you get anything else this effective for even near the same amount of money? Not that I've seen. So, if you want an effective way to create abdominal strength then I say this is worth the money they ask for it.Customer Review: Really works!!

I bought my AB Rocket a little over three weeks ago and I am suprised to see the results so fast! The first week I stuck to doing the beginners class once a day 6 days a week. By the second week I had built up enough tolerance to make it through the intermediate class and this past week, I am happy to say I have made it to the advanced class. Having three births in a few years and being totally out of shape, I had a pretty big stomach and had always looked for diffrent ways to try to tighten up my midsection. This machine works perfect if you use it the way it is meant for you to. It is not meant to do the work for you - Its is there to assist you. I am 3-1/2 inches smaller around my waste in the three weeks I have been using my AB Rocket. My sister noticed my results and went out and bought her one the second week I had mine. I still have a long way to go but the AB Rocket is a fun way to tighten your abs. I strongly suggest to anyone wanting to loose inches off your waste..... buy this machine!
