I've been wearing my Accusplit Eagle 120 for just over a year, and find it a consistently reliable indicator of how many paces i'm taking each day (goal being 10,000/day, though i usually don't reach that!). Because i wear it all day, every day, the only difficulty i've had with the device is getting it its way -- a hinge fell out on one side and the lid kept opening. I fixed it with a tooth pick which seems to be holding fairly well, though it still sometimes opens just from body or clothing movement. I have purchased 3 of these pedometers in the past couple of years, two in the last month as gifts. The third one arrived with a defect. The recipient called the company, mailed the defective pedometer, and the company promptly sent another.
I like the pedometer because of the tethers and the cover. The tethers prevent loss. (These instruments can easily fall off your clothing.) The cover prevents accidental resetting. When you lean against a counter, for example, coverless pedometers risk being reset.

I wear a pedometer six days a week to achieve the 10,000 recommended steps. This pedometer is wonderful. I am replacing an old one (same make and model) which I have had for five years. The old one still works - I replaced a battery about a year ago. I decided to buy another one to have a spare. It is enough improved that I am wearing it daily. This one has a better clasp on the end of the attached cord to keep the pedometer from falling if it slips off my waist. It is simple to use and easy to read. I love it.Customer Review: Step Counter

ACCUSPLIT AE120XL Pedometer, Steps Only
I have other pedometers but what I like about this one is the simplicity. Just push a button and it begins counting steps. For my particular needs I do not require a heart rate monitor or a timer or any of the other features offered in my other pedometers. I wanted one to count steps and it works perfectly. I have recommended this model to others and all are very satisfied.

I bought my accusplit pedometer about 2 months ago. I faithfully wear it daily and love the way it helps me to guage my activity level for the day and challenge me to do more. I also felt I had to write a review because of its durability. I accidentally washed it in the washing machine and was pretty sad, sure that I had broken it for good. I took it out and set it in a warm dry place and hoped for the best. A few hours later it was working again and is still ticking away my steps. Love this product!
