Customer Review: what a hit with kids of all ages

I got these for a party where people brought their kids of all ages - from just walking to 20 years old. I thought 100 would be enough, but each kid wanted at least 5 and kept coming back to get a different color. They were gone in minutes. As another reviewer noted, you have to look for the connectors because they are not already on one end of the bracelet. The ones that look like duds in the bag with no color are the blue ones, they got the most oohs and aahs as they turned from clear to blue. It was good to be able to see the kids at night, even though we have a fence - just so you know where they all are. I just ordered more for Halloween, in case someone wanders away and to be able to pick my kids out of a pack.Customer Review: Bargain priced, decent performance, but perhaps not appropriate for young children

The price is certainly reasonable for these. I've found them to be bright enough in darkness, but barely visible in indoor lighting. The colors are bright and pure. The light output is adequately bright for a couple of hours, and progressively dimmer but still obvious for several hours more.
I found them to be easy to snap, but they seem to be constructed with many internal "segments", each of which much be snapped for the entire length to glow. I've found that the best way to do it is to hold one end between thumb and forefinger, and with the thumb and forefinger of the other hand, starting at the same end, bend/snap gradually along the length to the other end. Think of squeezing toothpaste from a nearly empty tube, which curls as you squeeze.
BUT! As some of the other reviews have said, be careful to neither bend the tube too sharply while doing this, nor to squeeze too hard. The tube is prone to cracking at the end and leaking if you do.
Hence, I would be cautious giving one of these to a small child to do for themselves, and I'd probably supervise rambunctious older children too.
At this price, it's a fair gimmick for a party or doling out an occasional nighttime treat for a child. Just have realistic expectations about what 12 cents apiece buys you. :-) And supervise smaller children carefully with them.

I thought this was a very good price for 100 glow sticks but the old adage "If it sounds too good to be true, it is!" My plan was to pass them out at an assisted living facility. Unfortunately, they gave off only a very slight glow which was not visible unless all the lights were off. I expected them to glow more brilliantly in the dark but I expected to see some glow even in dull light. The "glow" wore out in an hour or slightly less. Don't bother giving these out to trick or treaters in the daytime, its a non-event. First thing I've ordered from Amazon which was a total disappointment.Customer Review: Fun for kids, but they break!

I bought these for a 4th of July picnic and they worked great. The kids had a lot of fun running around in the dark with their glowsticks on while we were waiting for the fireworks to start. BUT, these are not very durable. With too much bending, they will break open and leak.Customer Review: great deal

I bought these for a summer ultimate group I head. It's obviously easier to play in the light when you can see better but we would play some more serious games & once it got dark we would break out the glowsticks to where on our ankles & to light up the field. These worked great! I was concerned that some would break in the shipping process but they all arrived in perfect condition, and you can't ask for a better price.
