This kettlebell was purchased for a friend, but I did try it out to campare it with my own "powermax" KB which more closely resembles the russian molds. What I mean by this is that the handle is not wide like this one is.
Truthfully, I think the wide handle is a great asset. It makes it easier to do two-hand "swings". The weight is of a level usually only used by adults, so if you are buying this for a teenager (or younger) make sure they can press a 55lb kettlebell first before ordering. The shipping on these heavy weights is pretty expensive, so you don't want to make that mistake.
A regular set for KB presses is about 1-5 reps, so if you can't press one of these even once, or have trouble with a 45 lb KB, then don't purchase this just yet.
I would purchase one of these for myself if I needed another, it is nicer than the one that I have.
