(Edit 12/8 Updated after a few months now)

I have had one of Currie's (I-Zip) 2 wheel electric bikes (the no longer made Mongoose MT24V450) for about a year and a half, and have been very pleased with it.

But I decided I wanted something with more cargo capacity and stabilty with same. (a lot of weight strapped on a two wheeler, can be problematic, even quite dangerous if not evenly balanced)

I've had this trike about 3 months now and I am relatively pleased by it. Unlike the two wheel bike that come 85% assembled, there is a lot of assembly to the Trike. (took about 2.5 hours) While possible to do alone, it would help a lot to have a second person for some of it like mounting the rear axel/motor assembly to the frame.

I wish it had a 2 speed crank though, as peddling is fruitless over about 6 mph, so not much exercise value, as the 7 speed two wheel bikes allow in top gear. I have carried about 60 lbs of groceries on it several times, for several miles so far with no problem (and I am not a small person) of it getting moving or along at its normal empty basket speed, or decrease of the days range. (Pedsling along to get moving until no benifit, and Key West is flat ground pretty much)

Trikes do take getting used to as handling is very different than 2 wheels. Be careful turning corners until you get the hang of it. Also because like normal pedal trikes, only one rear wheel is actually driven. (Otherwise it would have to have a differential like a car)
But at the higher speed of an electric trike, this makes it turn consereably differently to the left and right if under power during the turn (best to coast, or reduce power) Under power it will tend to understeer turning left, and turn rather quickly to the right.
Also turning at all traversising a sloped surface, like a driveway grade in a side walk (especially turning to down hill) is very tricky to get used to (easy to tip or oversteer), as unlike a 2 wheel you can't maintain vertical center of gravity, and must compensate for that.

Also carrying cargo actually increases stability as it lowers the center of gravity considerably.

Construction seems solid, and its matte blue finish has gotten many comments. The basket is also colapsable, should you maybe want to strap a large box back there or something, and also is sturdily made, again easily containg 60 lbs of groceries over bumps and stuff with no deformation/bending.

It also great for taking large dog in tow.... clip leash to the basket (again 100lb dog suddenly tugging away against it no damage) and unlike a 2 wheel he isn't going to capsize me to the ground he would on a 2 wheel.

Nice in traffic too as you don't have to keep putting a foot down, and get going/balance again... you can just comfortably sit there.

So the trike vs 2 wheel has both advatages and disadvantage depending on application/use.
